I have always wondered about his ethnic background, there is no information on the net about it.

Is he Pakistani, Afghan, Indian, Persian??? also from which part of these countries. His organization is very active in northern Pakistan, like Chitral, Gilgit, Hunza etc... I think his family maybe from one of those areas originally, he looks like a local of those areas, not sure though

he is European mostly I would say, his mother was British divorcee Joan Guinness and his paternal grandmother was Italian, there's plenty of information online.

An interesting fact many don't know is Gawadar was purchased by his father from Oman and gifted to Pakistan after partition.

Iran probably as they claim descent from the Qajar dynasty who in turn claim lineage from Ali but the current one is 3/4 European at least.

If I remember correctly the "hashishiyaun" medival hashish smoking assasins of the middle East were Ismaili shia, and the game assassins creed is based on their character.

True, have heard more Iranians use it in day to day conversations than the Turks.

Only the initial 2/3 games. After that, they ran out of content and started doing crazy ****.

Aga khan is the descendant of Ali but lived in different places. They flew to Middle east during wars and lived in Iran as well.Aga Khan is the title given to the great grand father of current Aga khan. He is Aga Khan fourth. This title was given to him during his stay in Iran and his contributions. After Iran Aga khan lived in Pakistan and Aga Khan 3rd played a great role in formation of Pakistan. If i am not wrong he was the first president of Muslim league.

It is all on wikipedia. Google is an amazing thing!

Started out in the Arab lands as Descendants of Ali. From there to Egypt for the Fatimid Empire. From there to Iran and then to India. Now In Europe. So best its a mix of many ethnicities. If people were to ignore their religious bias, his contributions to Pakistan and many African countries has been immense.
