"Ahmed Shehzad could have left Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar behind" : Abdul Razzaq

None of them have I accept that but there was a time when all of you jumped on the hype train and are now berating Razzaq for suggesting the two had 'potential'

Im talking Ahmed Shezad here. When did I say he needs to be in the team?

I'm pretty sure all of us can identify talent when you see one. Hasan Ali is a magnificent talent and we could all see it when he burst into the scene. I'm one of his biggest supporters despite me being an Indian fan. He might have a bad game or two in between, but his talent can never be questioned. When did Ahmed Shehzad ever display such talent?

I'll be honest, I've never seen any talent in Ahmed Shehzad or Mohammad Hafeez till date. I don't know about the rest of you folks.

Babar Azam is someone who can be termed talented. He might have some weakness in his game, but tell me which young player of his age doesn't? At least he has the potential and he has plenty of time to work on whatever weakness he has, period. Such a shame that a talentless individual like Shehzad got so much more hype than Babar.

Add to that, he has his head on his shoulders unlike Shehzad who had his head in the clouds even before his made his debut.

Basically this.
Ahmed Shezad made his debut in 2009 and since then has been out of place.

I'll be honest I've made mistakes as well while judging talent. I honestly felt that Nasir Jamshed was a brilliant talent when he scored those runs against us. I turned out to be wrong. I just hope and pray that I don't turn out to be wrong in thew case of Hasan Ali. I grew up watching cricket from the early 90's and I can't believe how far bowling standards have regressed since then.

As a fan of the game, Asif and Amir could have been among the best bowlers in the world by now. And frankly speaking, it would have done tons of good for world cricket. We need great bowler in international cricket, and Pakistan along with Aus and SA have always, always provided world cricket with fantastic bowlers. I desperately want to see great talented bowlers in international cricket whether they come from Pak, Aus, SA or any other team. Great bowler in the game means the game gets richer, irrespective of which team produces them.

And it's still obsession with Indian players that makes it even more stupid. He could have said player X can be better than Inzi, Yousuf but he had to name Indian players. It shows he has no confidence in his own countrymen and is obsessed with another country.

Identifying talent that will succeed in the short term is one thing whereas identifying a long range talent is quite another. Its just plain impossible. The only person I know who managed to do that was Merv Hughes when he said Tendulkar would go on to make more runs than Allan Border way back in 1991/92.

In the case of Razzaq it is just plain stubborn stupidity that refuses to see bare facts. For instance even if you add both Umar and Shehzads FC + ODI runs they barely add up to Tendulkars Testmatch runs. Anybody can check these stats freely before opening their mouths. But anyone who refuses to acknowledge that will get trolled and that is what happening in this thread.

Razzaq's international record should be wiped clean because of these heinous comments about Shezi. Why does he keep repeating this nonsense time and time again?

"In T20s, fielding is not so important" :rashid

:))) :))

Actually what he said isn't incorrect, which is why we played Mohammad Irfan in t20s as late as 2016.. 20 overs koi bhi last karsakta hai, 50 overs mai stamina chahiye

Absolutely wrong, the margin of victory in T20 is very less compared to ODI or test matches.. Fielding is one of the most important factors in T20, if a team can save 10-15 runs while fielding and the margin of vcictory is 10 runs it’s because fielding was good.

You can play 1 bad fielder and try and hide him that is fine but overall fielding of your team should be top notch.
