Yeah obviously it depends on that but just to know that the person you love the most is battling cancer is a terrible feeling.

Yeah, I honestly think he should consider pulling out of the CT especially since his father has also passed away, but it is obviously entirely up to him and as mentioned above, it depends on the stage his mother's in as well.

Really hope her chemotherapy goes well.

Regardless of the stage/type of cancer, it takes its toll on the immediate family of the patient. To each his own, but this isn't the best time for Shehzad to play cricket. He will require tremendous mental strength to focus on his game.

No he should not take a break. It will help him take his mind off from things that are not in his control. It's quite easy to go into terrible state when there you are powerless and nothing else going on.

No. Batting while being away from Home requires supreme concentration and good state of mind.

Shehzad won't be in the right state of mind to open and PCB should rest him for a while. He should then play some 4 day Cricket and his mindset should be checked before being allowed back in.

I feel for the lad and hope his Mother recovers. Cricket is not more important then family

Lahore May 12, 2017: The PCB on the request forwarded by the Team Management has allowed Ahmed Shehzad to return home from West Indies tour. Ahmed Shehzad had made a request to the team management to return home from the ongoing tour after his mother’s illness and birth of his first child. The opening batsman will now join the team in England.

It's the worst feeling in the world to know that you're mother is battling something like this.. he is quite young and he should back off from champions trophy, he had already lost his father in a young age so his mind won't be in a good place after knowing this..
