For the first time in a long time, I'll be putting my neck out there while predicting something that I think will most probably occur out of nowhere this coming Sunday. Yes ! you've heard it correct, Ahmed Shehzad will play the innings of his life and guide Pakistan to victory - I am most certain of it.
As improbable as it may sound and of whatever I saw of him during the 1st warmup (from those private social media streams) it seemed that he was actually rotating the strike and at least trying to be a bit more proactive. His stance or game actually hasn't changed a lot, maybe he's standing a bit more open chested I guess however what I do feel is that someone in the dressing room or maybe Micky himself has talked to him and clearly it has effected him in a positive manner.
However, that being said they're is a very high chance this might just all come back and blow right up in my face with Shehzad scoring a golden duck or something but at least I'd be at peace knowing that I had the confidence and the trust in the boys to actually go out there and win against a competitive limited overs team - Something that has been missing for nearly 7 years from our lot. Also whoever has seen me post on Pakpassion all this time knows how big a critic I am for Ahmad Shezad but what's in the past is in the past. If Shehzad is ready to change his attitude and game for the betterment of Pakistan cricket I assure you I'll be his biggest supporter.
Let's go out there and win this one boys !!
