Ahmed Shehzad's ban increased by 6 weeks for playing cricket whilst serving period of ineligibility

Lahore October 19, 2018: The Pakistan Cricket Board has today issued a show cause notice to cricketer Ahmad Shahzad to explain why proceedings should not be initiated against him for apparently violating the terms of the Agreed Sanction Agreement entered into with PCB and the PCB Anti Doping Rules by playing cricket whilst serving a period of ineligibility. Ahmad has been required to respond by or before 25th October 2018.

The PCB is wrong here. Shehzad can be banned from domestic cricket but should be allowed to play low level club cricket, street cricket atleast, the PCB can't hold you on strings all the time.

Turning up for club matches in your national team jersey and cap is elite snobbery, but I think a show-cause notice is over the top and a mere word would have sufficed. This period of ineligibility should not be extended to club cricket. However, rules are rules. Shehzad should have obliged even if the rule is stupid.

PCB is worse then the windies board. They need to shake out the dead wood in the board which is every single person. Employ foreign members to the PCB and change the business culture.

The rule is quite silly. You can't just bar the guy from picking up a bat. Playing club cricket is fine. What's next? He can't play for his Mohalla team as well?

Am beginning to feel that Shehzad definately knows a higher up. He already got a very lenient ban in the first place and then lol after violating the terms and conditions of the original verdict, he has been given a complimentary 6 weeks. How very painful
