KANPUR: If records at Bidhoona tehsil in UP's Auraiya district are to be believed, Ajmal Kasab, the 26/11 Mumbai attack convict who was hanged at Yerwada jail in Pune on November 21, 2012, has been issued a domicile certificate.

Taking serious note of the incident, the district authorities, after preliminary round of investigation, cancelled the domicile certificate and suspended the concerned lekhpal (revenue officer) before ordering a probe in this regard.

SDM Bidhoona Pravendra Kumar, while investigating the case, confirmed to TOI that a domicile certificate of Ajmal Kasab had been issued against a submission of fake documents by some unidentified person.

“Some unidentified person submitted an application with a photo of terrorist Ajmal Kasab in the month of October for issuance of a domicile certificate at Bidhoona tehsil of the distrct. Subsequently, the authorities, without cross-checking the facts, issued the domicile certificate on October 21,” the SDM added.

As per details, terrorist Ajmal Kasab’s birth place is mentioned as Bidhoona and the name in the column of his father read as Mohd Amir while that of his mother Mumtaz Begum. The certificate bore registration no:181620020060722.
SDM Bidhoona added that a probe has been ordered into the irregularity. “When we found this discrepancy, we cross-checked the facts at tehsil office, besides at the given address and found that the certificate was fake. On our request, the NIC (National Informatics Centre) has cancelled the domicile certificate,” he said.

“We have suspended the concerned lekhpal on whose verification report the domicile certificate was issued,” he added.

Ajmal Kasab was a Hindu Indian, there's no doubt about that. The truth will finally be out one day.

Didn't he said Bhagwan mujhe maaf nhi karega or something like that.

Why would a Pakistani muslim call Allah bhagwan unless he watches starplus 24/7 at home. :))

'Bhagwan mere ko maaf nahi karega''. Literally not how any Pakistani would ever speak.

My mom is a Mr in her passport, my father's name is spelt wrong and declared dead when he went to vote in the last assembly elections, Indians working in govt offices are incredibly inefficient. I can imagine UP/Bihar will be worse off than South Indian states in this regard.

I've always said that Ajmal Kasab way of talking of "Urdu" sounded typical of parts of UP, you can't find this accent in Pak Punjab in fact even an Indian Punjabi would put that in UP without a second thought, just try the experience, not even talking of the fact that NO Muslim in Pak would use the word "bhagwan" for the Almighty.

Surely Osama was found in his Manhattan apartment, since everyone is making things then why not.

I think he was a Muslim Indian to be fair, no reason to assume he was a Hindu. Baghwan is just a habitualised reference to Allah which is common in India, similar to how they pronounce 'z' as 'j'.

Indian muslims dont use Bhagwan as well. I have spoken to 100s of Indian muslims and no one uses the word Bhagwan for Allah. I cannot speak for all of them but i think its unlikely.

I am sure Indian Muslims on the whole don't use Baghwan, but you can imagine there might be the odd one who grew up watching Indian tv shows who might lapse into usage. Or perhaps he could be a recent convert which is another possibility with the like of Dr Naik converting thousands in India.

Well possibilities cannot be ruled out ever but to be honest its a bit unlikely as far as my experiences are concerned. But i gather from our conversation that we have declared him to be an Indian for sure :yk

You are wrong according to tinpots here your mother is actually a man and the man who call your father is an apparition or ghost.

It's interesting they issued the document initially. Perhaps his name , family and connections were known to some in the area.

He was a good patsy for the Indians but let his team down when he mentioned 'bhagwan', smoking gun.

And the Peshawar shooting was an inside job done by the Pakistani "government". I wonder when the delusions will stop.

Whattaboutism isnt an argument here.

Please discuss the case at hand. Do you not think Kasab is Indian?

Not whataboutism, but rather sarcasm.

Certainly not. There is overwhelming evidence that the attack was carried out by Pakistani terrorists. If you send me your name, your photo, etc, I'll send a forged certificate for you.

Just coz India claims him to be "Pakistani" does not make it a fact. No Pakistani Muslim will ever use the term "Bhagwan" for God, never! He could however be an Indian Muslim set up by RAW. It is a forgone incident now that no one cares about.

Remember BBC or CNN going to his village in Pak and interviewing his parents. But if indeed he's an Indian, that's an incredible achievement by the Indians for convincing everyone he's a Pakistani.

I think this was a Geo news report which filtered out. Later is was confirmed he was not from that village, fake news. :trump

Was convinced after hearing him speak.

Never met a Pakistani who spoke the way Kassab did, have met many Indian who speak the way Kassab did.

He didn't even look Pakistani, I knew it all along!

Does Babar Azam, Amir, Hasan ali,Sarfraz etc look Pakistani? Those are common faces you will find in entire northern part of the country. No one stands out from the crowd.

Unless some is like Shahid Afridi, Shaheen afridi , Umar Gul etc, no one bats an eyelid.
