The title says it all. If Sharjeel khan is proven gulity which is very much on the cards, Akmal brothers should open the innings in the next t20i series against Westindies with Babar Azam and Sarfraz at no. 3 and 4 respectively to stabilise in the middle order if the openers fall early. If the openers give a flying start then Fakhar Zaman should come at no. 3 to further dent the opposition. The lineup should be
1. Kamran Akmal.
2. Umar Akmal
3. Babar Azam
4. Sarfraz
5. Fakhar Zaman
6. Shoaib Malik
7. Imad Wasim
8. Shadab Khan/ Amad Butt/ Amir Yamin
9. Muhammad Amir
10. Hassan Ali
11. Rumman Raees.
The other members of the squad should be Wahab Riaz, Shahzaib Hassan, Usama Mir. That makes a very competitive 16 members squad.

Lol hope not, 2 proven mediocre slog brothers and their slightly more talented cousin Babar all representing the nation, let's get Adnan Akmal in there while we are at it.

Great idea.

Let's open with a wicketkeeper who drops more than he catches and averages 26 in ODI cricket even after getting numerous chances.

And let's add to the delusion by making Umar open in the hope that his aerial shots have less chances of finding the fielder because he can't seem to construct an innings for 7 years.

I am sure entire Pakistan is looking forward to this novel concept.

read an article on cricinfo long time back which was maybe written by zaltzman or someone but it was about k. akmal and one of the line about selecing akmal in the intl team was something like this

pakistan keep hitting themselves in the head with the frying pan, again and again - paraphrased sort of

still holds very much true this line

The same wicket keeper who's average is the same as Afridi.

I am not surprised that the dinosaurs in our board keep coming up with dross team selections when I see 'fans' like OP vying for the return of PROVEN international failures.
