Zaryab kinda looks like Mushfiqur Rahim and he is also short.

A mentally tough player, plays late and has great offside game. Great talent, played the best innings on the Pakistan team by not giving South Africa any kind of chances. He has only played one first class game for Lahore and made a duck in both innings.

Too timid... in the mould of Misbah and Azhar. Will be a burden on any LOI side unless he develops some shots.

Whether he is timid, limited in talent, have few shots etc. this kid has been nothing but Mr. Consistency ever since he came to Australia and now in the WC. Following are his scores in last 10 games: 74*, 59, DNB, 30, 51, 1, 56, 1*, 63*, 0

It takes a lot to be able to score runs like that especially on pitches you have never played on before in your life. I would def take such a dedicated batsman in the team over a hara kari like tulla and hope in time he gets better. At least he's got nerves, determination, grit etc. which most of our current senior batsmen cannot find in them after having spent years in the team!

He also bowls a bit and seems to be a decent bowler judging purely based on the numbers...have not looked in to detailed stats!

He is the reason we are in U19 World cup semi final, MOTM in last two matches.

The total weren't too big to take any risk, he had to stay there till the end as other batsmen were struggling to score runs. You are coming to this conclusion too early. He did score 56 runs in 46 balls against Australia U19.

Ultimate Jinx. LOL. Good timing brother.

You timed that like Shezzy. Straight to the fielder though.

All are bang average or below. Only decent bat in the U19 team is Zaid Alam but he has no technique. The other Alam can play a few shots but he has no batting sense.

Just ignore this lot and continue following the progress of the previous U19 batsmen. They were far more impressive.

I think, Badar is better than any of this U19 WC batsmen, Umair Masood also looked good. But, one thing everyone should remember that, last WC was played in BD, on Asian wickets - these kids are playing in NZ. ...... then recall Mian Malik in UAE & in NZ ...........

Whole Batting Lot is Crap.

Heads need to roll on the non selection of Nasir Nawaz, Shaoor Ahmed, Mubammad Husnain & Asad Reza.

But nothing will happen.

Hit his 2nd hundred of the season for Central Punjab 2nd XI today. Doing pretty well.
