Why is it news. Pakistanis have the reputation of being one of the greatest lovers in the world. Even better than italians, who have the reputation of being romantic but also great liars.

Congratulations on marriage and embracing Islam ,defn the modern marriage.

Why is this news  My wife also came to Pakistan from Germany to get married there for our Pakistani relatives. We also got married in Dubai, Gremany and Romania so that all members of the family could be involved in the occasion. Also no one converted, she remained Christian in the Pakistan (in the Nikah Nama) and Dubai ( was a welcoming party) marriages. In Germany it was done at the local courthouse and we had a celebration later on with family and friends and then in Romania we registered at the public office and then had a ceremony at the church, which I went through because she really wanted her family and friends to be involved in a traditional marriage.

Nice, thanks for sharing.

The best love story was the Indian villager from Orissa who bicycled all the way to Europe to meet his sweet heart, got married to her and settled there.

He met his wife on a social media.

His wife is a lot younger than him.

And it is only a news in Pakistan due to "English Complex"

It is not as if this news is all over the headlines in Pakistan. It is just one of many random 'amusing news' stories that these 24hr news channels use as filler all over the world not just in Pakistan.

On another note when it comes to attracting foreign ladies it looks like Shoaib Malik is a real role-model among the men of his hometown :malik

Good on the chap. Just hope his wife doesn't decide she wants to live in Pakistan, his dreams will be shattered.

Seems from her name and look she is an American Ashkenazi Jew, am guessing he's looking to settle in USA.

Yes, I've been studying Jewish phenotypes since years, she's definitly one from the tribe.

The only time in history when 'wanna frandship' actually worked :smith

Did anyone watch the video? No offence to anyone but she seems old enough to be his mom.

Half of the posters here were probably married at 40 with 19 year old women, but it’s an issue when the gender is the other way around?

It's the age of equality revisited, and not that far removed from our own Prophet PBUH. An older woman of means also married our Nabi RA, isn't it strange how history repeats itself?

It's an issue when there's millions of 40 year olds in his own country, he finds one with an American passport.

She's a lonely lady, enamoured by the exotic and he's looking for a ticket to the promised land.

Harldy history repeating itself. lol

But watch their interview. The reporter seems more excited than the future groom. :akhtar

Their life, their choice! Miyan biwi raazi toh kya karega kaazi;-)! It is not that bad a thing marrying a slightly older lady but not sure about such a large age gap.

The fact that she continued being a Christian and did not convert to Islam makes yours a non news.

Hold on, there is this new trend building up.

One guy find an American lady (preferably 40s), and talk her into his scheme. Guy offer her some USD 6-7K and ask her to announce that she's in love with that guy and eventually announce marriage. Guy will arrange for ticket to Pakistan as well.

This scheme is actually an alternative, cheaper and effective route to UK/USA Visa. It's relatively newer scheme. I think USA authorities will soon be applying some conditions in such cases.
