Was watching the replay of the 2nd T20 and something about this Bangladeshi spinner seemed interesting. He didn't shake up the place or anything, but he had the look and attitude of a potentially good leggie.

Tried looking him up and there's hardly any info on the guy. Any BD posters here who've seen more of him maybe domestically and can maybe share their opinions?

Trivia: He had 'Biplop' written on the back of his jersey.

The funny thing about Aminul Islam Biplop is I'm not sure Bangladesh management were aware he bowled handy leg-spin till a couple of months ago. Aminul played in the last u-19 World Cup as a batsmen and I don't think he bowled an over for the entire tournament and in the last one-day tournament he didn't bowl much at all. He essentially was selected for the tri-series against Afghanistan and Zimbabwe off the back of from what I'm aware of someone seeing him role his arm over in the nets when he was part of the Emerging Team that had been playing against Sri Lanka Emerging and Afghanistan A.

Aminul Islam actually was a batsman who could bowl leg spin. He was not a regular leggie and didn't bowl full quata of bowling in the matches he played in domestics.
of leg spinner in BD line up and domestics were making the selectors anxious to find out a leggie. He came under the radar of Chief selector and advised him to be serious about his leg spin so that he can be used as an all rounder.

As an nonprofession leggie he bowled well and I think if he finds a mentor he will do well. Still a long way to go though
