Amir Khan offers to pay for life-saving treatment for seven-year-old boy suffering from huge facial tumour

Amir Khan has offered to pay for a seven-year-old boy's life-saving treatment as he battles with a tumour on his face.

Ali Hassan from Pakpattan in Pakistan has a huge tumour that has spread, affecting his eye, nose and mouth.

He was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer earlier this year and in order to save his life, his right eye was removed.

But just weeks after surgery, Ali's face began to swell and resulted in the huge tumour.

Now, his parents are hoping the youngster can live a normal life after the incredible gesture from Khan.

"Amir Khan assured us of all sort of financial help. He told me that he will also visit us," Ali's father Muhammad Mansha said.

"In January this year, a surgery was performed by doctors, removing Ali's right eye. But only weeks after the surgery, his face started swelling and resulted into a huge tumour."

Khan's manager Anwer Ahmed confirmed the youngster will undergo treatment, wherever it is possible.

"I am regularly visiting the boy in the hospital on direction of Amir Khan," he said.

"We are waiting for medical reports. If his treatment is not possible here or in any other hospital in Pakistan, we will take him to any foreign country where medical facilities are much better and advance.

"Amir Khan has told me to be with the family and keep him updated."

Fair play to Amir Khan, I had seen those graphic images of that boy on facebook a while back and I think they came to Amir's attention in the same way. God willing the boys surgery is successful and god bless Amir Khan as well, he has a big heart in and out of the ring London_Lahori

This is the same thing that affected Bradley Lowery - the charming Sunderland fan who became Defoe's friend and walked out with England. That poor kid is upon his last breathes. Hopefully this boy survives Inshallah

Wonderful by Amir. He has a taste for controversies, but he is a genuinely good person at heart.

Well dony by Amir - it's always great to see sports personalities putting their money to good use.

Personally I feel quite strongly about how much sports stars get paid & it is a very controversial topic, therefore, it always pleases me to hear such stories of that money being used for the 'greater good'

Definitely, Khan does a lot of Charity work all around the world and not a lot of people share even when they have loads. God tests you when he gives and takes away, Amir has a big heart mA; am surprised the Queen has not given him an MBE yet he is the most deserving sportsman at the moment to not get the award.

Do you think the surgery will be successful? I have never seen anything quiet like it :/ iA it goes well

I'm not one to pop my head into drama but he's had issues with his wife settling in his family. Still has time to do something good and save a boys life.

Massive respect to Khan.. :14: and I hope the boy can recover to full health, In Sha Allah.

It is extremely risky.

It was successful thank god:

Top work from Khan, don't know what I was going on about in the other thread. Must have been hacked.

Just noticed it's been posted from Bolton, England, isn't he currently still in Dubai?

God willing he makes a full recovery. A touching story, great work by Amir.

Good to see the little lad recover well. Even though he's got his family troubles I think going to Pakistan just gets his mind off of it and promoting positivity is better than anything else.

I think he's saying deflecting the attention from Faryal/public image means a lot, so he's making it out like he's the "good one" from the two.

Ok thanks. Amir has been helping this child before the announcment of his break up and this is just an update. Why cant people just give credit when it's due?

I agree, this was done before the drama and he's just seeing how the treatment was going. Good for Amir, and most importantly the surgery went well.

He's trying to distract the media, trying to present himself as a nice guy. He's probably a narcissist like a lot of successful people.

Amir has been doing charity work since he won the silver olympic medal and has his own foundation which helps people. So your theory is a little weak.

He used to showoff his faith even before this drama, that means nothing considering that he sleeps with prostitutes, drinks and commits adultery.

Sad that he has to use a little kid as a media distraction but good job nonetheless

However these are independent issues

He has always been active in charity work and deserves a lot of credit for that.

But just like his adultery and immature antics do not pour water on his good deeds, similarly his shameful behaviour does not take away from the good work he does.

Most people would think he's giving an update , which inside informaiton you have to suggest he's using the child now?

What adultery?

Disappointing to see some extremely filthy drivel being posted in this thread, I thought there would be more comments along the lines of relief that the surgery was successful; instead you have the bigoted haters emphasising their ignorance and insecurities.

I opened this thread long before the recent controversy and just posted an update when I saw Amir tweeting that the boys recovery is going well, also notice how the same people who are always complaining about him never give credit where it's due; then people complain when I point out their self hate, inferior complex, lack of intelligence, insecurities , preconceived ideas, agendas, envy, jealousy and depiction of backward mentality.

I am still surprised people would resort to attacking someone who has genuinley helped someone. Where were the same people who actually live in Pakistan? Why didn't they help him after his story broke in the media? People living in a third world country shoyuldn't be criticising anyone who comes to help their fellow nationals. And people in the US should think why they haven't got any famour Pakistani sportsmen. Anyway it's their problem or personal issues, the most important thing is this kid will God willing have some sort of normal life now.

No one even asked anyone to do praise Amir or anything like that but people just came in this thread to hate etc  same folk criticise him, it just goes to show he can't win no matter what he does. Anyhow am just glad the boy is recovering well and the surgery was successful. I think Slog is probably the only Pak based PPer who is criticising him on that level and he is generally clueless but is only being narrow minded due to various agenda he has otherwise he couldn't care less what Khan or Faryal do, but generally the others are a lot more supportive of Amir and they really love him over there.

The US based rednecks / PPers obviously can't look beyond ignorant nationalism and would even defend a **** like Trump so not more needs to be said with regards to their moronic views. The British based folk have the right to have more of an opinion on the matter in general even those who I do not agree with, the others can go back to being pawns.

Americans are brainwashed into patriotism, everybody knows this. I agree with the rest of your post too.

In Islam saving a life is like saving all of humanity, may we all have the opporunity to help save lives as Amir has done here.

great work by Amir. He has always been a great philantropist whatever his personal matters and misdemeanours are. Dont see why that is being brought up in this thread.

Hes literally changed someones life and fair play to him.

Nice to see him in the media for something positive for once and it shows he has a heart. The timing of bringing this up will obviously look suspect and you should expect people to be skeptical.

However, I'll be the first to congratulate him if he can mark this moment as a change towards something positive in his life. Everyone deserves a chance and Allah is the ultimate judge in the end. Let's hope he stays in the the spotlight for the right reasons.

Great to know that being so wealthy and successful he still has compassion is his heart. Is a fairly religious guy at heart as well. A strong believer in Allah.
