An Indian rooting for Pakistan to win the ICC T20 World Cup 2022

Pakistan has been very impressive in this series. Not necessarily just for their performance, which has had it's ups and down, but for the mere grit and attitude toward their games.

1. Players like Rizwan and others showed a lot of humility and poise. There was no air of over-confidence or rubbishing others.

2. Every Pakistani player played their games with a lot of hunger, courage and humility about the fact that they can lose every game if they didn't play well.

3. From being almost at the bottom of the table, having been written off after losing 2 games, to have climbed their way into the semi-final and now the final.. not only were they reward by Almighty God Himself with luck, but they also showed with their behavior and attitude that they were DESERVING of God's graces.

4. I wish Pakistan Team all the best.. and defeat our old colonial master to win the T20 WC. Amen!

3 stars? Do you mean the number of World Cups won ? The are different formats though. 50 over and T20 cannot be combined.

They have combined them. If Pakistan win this World Cup, they will be a ‘3 star’ on their shirt team

England's bogey team is Pakistan and I am gonna back Pakistan to get the better of England here in the finals.

I rate Shadab very highly and Pakistan's fast bowlers too, they will have to get the job done for Pakistan because in batting shootout, I don't think Pakistan can match England as they have some outstanding strikers of the bowl and they showed it too in the India game.

My Funda for winning a T20 tournament is two things :-

1. You need to have some really explosive batters in your team who don't change their natural aggressive style inspite of team being 2-3 down early. England relish in this.

2. You need to have high quality bowling attack and that includes both the department - pace and spin. Pakistan definitely relish in this department.

India weren't great in either.

Been in india for the past few days. The amount of cricket that has been talked here for the past few days is a lot! And the amount of respect most of them have for babar and rizwan is just unbelievable. I kept hearing and discussions that they need players of babar rizwan at the top! One of them goes to make a 50 any day. Maybe rohit and KL misfiring had made people think that way.

I grew up in Southern Africa and we had a lot of Indian family friends. I genuinely used to like the Indian team as opposed to a lot of other teams like England or Australia. I was a fan of Ganguly and others. However, things have changed with the Indian media and poison I see from former players across the border that I will support almost any other team besides India. The recent narrative has created an even bigger divide than the traditional rivalry.

Congratulations to Pakistan from an Indian fan

Grew up watching the peak of pak cricket during the mid 90's / late 90's with the likes of saeed Anwar, inzi, wasim, waqar and shoiab akthar. Its true , India under dhoni had dominated pak in world tourneys. Having said that, current crop of social media warriors in India do not know the rich legacy of mercurial Pakistan cricket and how pak used to dominate India for fun back in time.

No point being insanely jealous and trolling for the heck of it. Pak has history of great fast bowlers and continues to produce. Under Babar, they have formidable batting line up label flawed. Pakistan is a better t20 side than India , having qualified for 6 t20 world cup.

My cricketing sense tells me Eng has better odds of winning, considering their superior depth and Aussie like killer instinct during knock outs. Pak albeit mercurial , may loose the plot ( similar to t20 2021 semis World Cup, Asia cup final etc?) . May the best win. No body can stop from a nation or a cricket team rising like a Phoenix. Well done Pakistan. I wish, India would have qualified for the sheer brilliance of kohli/Surya but was not be for the stupid team management/lacklustre form of Indian openers. Dil Dil Pakistan, Go go Pakistan!

Which is the most cringe thing ever. They might as well add stars for the times they were #1 test side. Only India likes to show off their stars on their Jersey and that too pathetically adding additional stars.
