This is certainly a very close comparison.

Andy Flower was a gem cricketer who carried Zimbabwe in 90s and early 00s while Shakib has transformed the minnow level Bangladesh team to the one who has become pretty competitive these days.

Flower was a better batsmen and could keep too while Shakib is a very good bowler apart from his batting skills- a genuine All Rounder across all formats.

Who do you think is a better cricketer or has been a bigger servant to their respective countries?

Why is this even a debate ???? Andy Flower by a country mile.........

Quite honestly, I would even trade Chacha Cricket if it came down to Shakib and him. Don't really rate Shakib as a cricketer at all.

Andy Flower was a great WK too so there all-round abilities balance out.

Okay..Flower kept for Zim but only because they could play one extra batsmen. He wasn't a specialist keeper like Gilly or Boucher.

Still I think Flower wins here as it looks a one sided contest.
