ANTHONY Joshua has sent a string of bizarre social media posts suggesting people had been "programmed" to hate ousted Zimbabwe tyrant Robert Mugabe.

The dictator resigned from office this week, prompting jubilant celebrations on the streets of the country’s capital Harare.

And Joshua took to Snapchat to comment on public attitudes toward the hated despot, according to the Daily Star.

The boxing champ, who is currently away in Dubai, first asked followers: “Why do they despise Robert Mugabe?”

He later posted a selfie along with the caption: “Mugabe… is your view what you’ve been told?

“Or what you have learnt through research?

“Or what you’ve been programmed to know via media outlets?”

Mugabe had ruled Zimbabwe with an iron fist for 37 years since the country declared independence in 1980.

Human rights groups have accused him of blatant abuses and overseeing a wave of anti-white discrimination and state corruption while the economy tanked.

Sun Online has contacted Joshua's representatives for comment.

I don't like mugabe but there is a lot of western propaganda towards countries they don't like and then their general population bases their personal opinions off that propaganda. If people weren't so dogmatic then they wouldn't see thing things as black and white but here in the west we alway need a bad guy and the bad guy has no no good traits.

Joshua's taken too many blows to the head. Mugabe was a thug whose party looted and pillaged Zimbabwe's economy.

He destroyed the independence of institutions like the election commission, police and judiciary. Whilst he won independence for his people, he subjected them to a new form of oppression by replacing a white elite with a ZANU-PF elite.

I'd recommend Martin Meredith's book that extensively details Mugabe's wrongdoings.

His name is Ohara Davies and he's a big WWE fan, he enters the ring to Undertaker's theme; you're right he didn't say anything offensive or threatening but loves to play the role of a heel to wind people up and create more hype for his fights. Yet Hearn takes him of the card that was booked for Feb, that's his livelihood. Yet, there have been multiple instances now where AJ legit deserves a suspension but they've not taken any action. If they have that big a problem with The Sun, why don't the Hearns and all the fighter working for him who attacked Ohara flush their contracts with Sky down the toilet ? Well said, they suffered some if the most henious crimes one could imagine. But AJ tends to attract bigots mostly from his casual fanbase and it's not surprising they cheer for a guy who sympathises with Mugabe of all people or perhaps they just don't care because prophet femi can do no wrong despite his transgressions
