Anurag Kashyap, while praising the local dish beef parotta, also took aim at The Kerala Story 2, calling it absolute propaganda and stating that he did not like the trailer at all.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who often makes headlines for his outspoken remarks, has once again stirred controversy, this time over the upcoming film The Kerala Story 2. Kashyap had earlier criticised the film’s director, accusing him of being driven by greed. Now, he has gone a step further, describing the film as straight-out propaganda. A viral clip circulating online shows Kashyap speaking to the media on the side-lines of the recently held Filmfare Awards South in Kerala. During the interaction, he unexpectedly praised a local dish before reiterating his criticism of the film.

“Beef parotta is the best.” When asked whether he was referring specifically to Kerala parotta, he clarified, “Beef parotta. Beef parotta is the best.” He responded affirmatively when asked if he likes beef. When told that ‘eating beef is a problem’ now, he replied, “It’s not a problem. No problem.” The conversation then turned to The Kerala Story 2. Asked about the film’s trailer, Kashyap did not hold back. “Bulls**t trailer.” When further questioned, “Do you think that it’s propaganda?” he replied, “Absolutely.”

His comments follow an earlier exchange between him and the film’s director, Kamakhya Narayan Singh. Speaking to ANI, Singh responded sharply to Kashyap’s criticism. “His films have been flopping for many years. He has become mentally weak and cannot see the truth). If he has a problem with the truth shown in our film, it means he has a problem with entire world.”

I think certain liberal Hindus and Muslims in India sometimes seem to highlight their love for beef more as a way to take a dig at traditional Hindu beliefs rather than purely out of culinary preference. If someone enjoys beef curry and parotta, that’s their personal choice... but deliberately flaunting it, knowing that a large section of Indians don’t consume it for religious reasons, can come across as provocative. It is like going to Saudi Arabia and boasting about Alcohol & Pork. Then these people wonder and cry victim when they get beaten up in public.

And if the idea is that repeatedly saying “we love beef” will somehow change cow reverence in India, that’s unlikely to happen. Social beliefs , especially religious ones, don’t shift simply because they’re challenged rhetorically.

Beautiful video by Sadhguru why majority of Indians dont eat beef

When Saudis start electing clowns who wants to slaughter human over their religious beliefs then you could have made this argument.... wait Saudi does not have democracy.

Beef eating ban should have been lifted long ago. It makes no sense and it is against savarkar’s Hindutva idea. This is nothing but a political weapon.

Ps- My man Anurag Kashyap eating beef reminds me of buffalo eating cow. Both brothers are trolls and attention seekers.

Seems the entire Hindutva clan is struggling with reading comprehension today. Did y’all get distracted watching Modi dance for ‘father’ again?”
Abbey hygiene, you can barely string a coherent sentence together or make a sane argument without using any of your crutch words ,even when they don’t belong in the topic. You keep saying the most rtrded things and get caught with foot in your mouth and then blame the other guy for lack of comprehension skills 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe time to self-introspect.

At least use AI or if you don’t have the capability which I don’t think you have, just take help of an elder next to you or reach out to me, I will help you draft your thought out and then try to respond lol.

Don’t mind me saying this, but you are a very dumb person. I sometimes wonder, with your writing and comprehension skills, how you ended up in the USA. My post #3 completely went over your head, and now you are doing the same old “abba dabba jabba Hindutva” again.

I left the Time Pass section for a few months to focus entirely on the cricket section. Now that PCT is out of the WT20 and my mission is over there, I came back here only to see that you haven’t changed at all.

Do me a favor: don’t tag or talk to me with your half-literate debate skills. Else I have to put you in ignore list like brother @sweep_shot does to my fellow Bharatis.

:kp

If being called Hindutva upsets you this much, maybe ask yourself why it sounds believable in the first place.

You may think I’m dumb, but if you had actually read the entire comment, you wouldn’t have come across like @Local.Dada.

Doesn’t upset me at all. Hindu- tva literally translates to Hindu- ism, so as a follower of Hinduism why do you think I have an issue?

If you repeat it a zillion times, and think you are irritating me then the joke is on you lol. Clearly I am not the only noticing that you have 0 ability to put your thoughts across without the same crutch words.

Hindutva has, for many observers, become a symbol of religious extremism, where violence is justified over cows, religious slogans are imposed on others, and minority celebrations like Christmas are targeted. Politicians who back this kind of bigotry are still elected with ease. And the fact that none of this seems to bother you says something that was obvious from the very beginning.

Oh boi!!! 🤦‍♂️ Ok.

Animals right Habibi ?

any sign of backbone yet ?

I’m old enough to remember seeing other propaganda as well, for the longest time right wing was unable to get their propaganda films right, then came movies with Files and of the talented Aditya Dhar.. who created a capable set of movies.

Anurag knows its a propaganda, like everyone does.. but him praising beef is definitely a reaction to the right wing provocation and massive increase of their influence..

NGL this beef topic is getting boring now.

It is a moderately interesting topic but whether one Ramgopal Kumar eats it and other one doesn't really doesn't need so much debate. We have established that most Hindus eat it, that uppercut Bhai is happy with those Hindus who eat it and beef topic is really just a front to beat up Muslims.

Let's move on.

Anything from atheists, such as Sarvarkar, unless empirically proven should be taken with bulk loads of salt.

nope ... but try again.

Don't worry i will deal with Habibi and ensure that he gets another dose of reality Check.

However I did respond to you on the other thread you tagged me earlier and explained why I treat you differently . .. hint: sew....ge
Munna, stick to the actual topic of this thread and take a reality check. We have already seen how quiet you get and hide away from me when things don't go your way. And when you have got no solid argument left, you start bringing up irrelevant points. Good to know I still make you nervous. :yk :inti

As expected, @uppercut is running away from this topic as well. :yk :inti @HalBass9

Probably the only one left trying his hardest to defend the slaughter of human beings in the name of his distorted version of Hinduism.

Meanwhile, there’s an entire thread where many Indians openly admit to eating beef, he escaped from there without dare suggest violence toward them, which makes his hatred toward Muslims painfully obvious.

Entire cult like him and @Local.Dada are total clown show.

Got a link? What a noob, lol. 99% of the time when I tag you, you stay silent and hide. And that 1% when you finally respond, you act like a toddler throwing a tantrum and then running away. Just look at this thread, you are posting everything except addressing the actual topic. 🤡 :cigar :inti

I think we have made slight progress on this topic in that we as a country have genuinely moved on to achieing economic targets. In fact the state of UP itself is also undergoign large scale industrialization.

India is a free country and some minor things will continue to be reported via social media and all but they don't always represent this country in totality.

Stupid and gimmicky by Anurag Kashyap when it's obvious it's a sensitive issue with no human rights implications.

I too love eating beef but don't go around making a huge deal of it (outside anonymous forums). Why bother?

I also like making jokes on gurus and prophets but again only anonymous or in trusted company. As I said, it's a sensitive issue. Why poke the bear?

I NEVER EVER engage with you in a serious discussion because I simply do not consider you as a serious poster worth engaging with. Thats Not hiding . .. thats showing you your true worth.

Good news is it is very simple to fix that ... start making posts without using silly smilies like you did in this OP and I will respond . Those are MY own rules. Don't give a crap what you think.
.
Otherwise Never be under the impression that you are some tees mar khan that scares me with your "profound" posts lol. Is that in any way unclear ?

@Rajdeep

Lmao, so a few innocent looking :inti smileys get you all worked up, and then you claim you are not bothered by my posts? Do you even realize what you are typing and how ridiculous it sounds? :misbah

The easiest fix is simple: ignore the emojis and respond to the actual topic instead of attacking the person posting. When you don't do that, it just looks like you are dodging the discussion. Is that clear now? :yk :inti

Does it occur to you that you are the one that keeps begging me for attention and gets bent out of shape when I troll you Or don't respond ?

The smilies tell me that you are a juvenile troll and therefore thats exactly how I treat you .... even with protection from your handlers I brutally out troll you in your own backyard.

The Rule is simple : want a serious discussion ? Then stop using smilies. Else you Can go back to begging me to respond .... i might throw you a bone every now and then.... see if I care.

EITHER YOU GUYS TALK ABOUT THE TOPIC OR ELSE STAY AWAY FROM THIS THREAD.

NO MORE PERSONAL REMARKS NOW
I have been saying the same thing. But if people like @uppercut are more interested in doing "habibi, habibi" instead of addressing the actual topic, what else can one do? He seems to have one set of rules for Muslims eating beef and another for Anurag Kashyap. :rabada2

It just looks like he is desperately searching for a way out, now even blaming an innocent :inti smiley as an excuse to avoid responding and getting his hypocrisy called out. I have never seen people using an emojis as an excuse to run away from the discussion. Yeh kuch naya laya hai. :yk :inti
