Love cigars

Cigar smokers should do what they do in an enclosed space - no issues.

But when they invade my private breathing space... buss!!!

Been wondering about this since I saw Andrew Tate lighting up cigars in his videos. What's the big attraction? As far as I know cigar smokers don't inhale so it can't be the nicotine hit. What then?

Well Arnold Schwarzenegger, Groucho Marx etc - all have been seen with cigars in their mouths.

I sometimes feel its more about looking different then your average smokers than anything else.

Maybe. But then we have cigar afficionadoes here, they can maybe shed some light. Especially what would be the attraction of buying a really expensive cigar as opposed to a standard one.

personally my favs used to cohiba maduro genio 5, but they are so silly expensive now that it makes no sense to smoke em.

whats ur favs?

I live in nyc so mostly smoke Nicaraguan cigars. When I go to Spain for the summer I smoke Cubans . Also this year in nyc they raised taxes on tobaccos. So a good stick is upwards of 20 a piece. . My go to cigars for Nicaraguan are padrons ( the higher ended labels). Start around 35. .
For Cubans. Trinidad lancero, partagas , cohiba lanceros , . I usually smoke 1 cigar a month. Absolutely love it after a big meal. Don’t smoke cigs, shisha or weed ever. But a. Cigar once in a while is one of the pleasures of life.

You do get the nicotine hit. You don’t inhale but the nicotine gets absorbed even if you have the smoke in your mouth. Nothing like a good cigar with some friends . Once a month is enough for me.

I had a friend who insisted a cigar and brandy was the perfect end to a meal. Now I'm sure he might be onto something, but was wondering what the non-drinkers experience was.

nice, i tried nicaraguans in NY and was pleasantly surprised, they are not far behind cuban and dominicans imo.

the whole deal for me is lighting one up with friends, its like a statement, we aren't going anywhere for the next hour, you smoke it and you slowly relax, and the conversation becomes more open and flowing, and no one is worried about jumping over each other because u usually happy enough to sit and listen to others whilst having a slow puff.

i have friends who drink, and we rarely do the cigar brandy combo.

missed this earlier, so the main difference is the taste, some taste spicy, others a bit sweet, some have an open draw, meaning u can draw on it super easy despite being a sizeable cigar, finally its how strong the cigar is, when you start you find your way and eventually realise what ur suited too, they could either be expensive, or moderately priced.

an easy open draw allows you to puff gently, and if the taste suits then its just a very calming experience all around.
