Easily the best Urdu hell even overall commentator and great to see the legend return for the FB T20 Cup.

Agreed, he's very good.

Still a poor man's Hassan Jaleel though!

And not a patch on the legendary S. M. Naqi!!

no one can beat mirza iqbal baig..lol

the guy is way too loud and always shout no matter what..

he will discuss the macher in details..

He's amazing. Why the hell isn't there a smiley for this guy? :tariq

What about eijaz ahmed commentary. If we ignore his english-urdu accent, he was very sensible. But mirza iqbal is legend. Never shuts up

A joy to listen to.

MIB is right up there too. I love listening to little tid bits of info he throws in while commentating. I never knew one of the big screens at Gaddafi was imported from South Africa but hasn't worked till date and still no one bothers removing it or getting it repaired. They got another screen instead while the old one is just sitting there, looking stupid.

this guy is irritating.

How I miss Chisti Mujahid. His radio commentary is still the best among the best

Very annoying commentator. He is that typical old style radio commentator but lacks the basic skills to do commentary on TV. GEO should get rid of him...

If they just throw out Aamir Sohail, I'll be happy.

He sits there and just complains all the time: "-shoaib akhtar ney eik trick miss kya hai.." bla bla.

The problem with him is that he thinks only he is right all the time. And today he wanted Rams to bowl first. What a joker!

If Dolphins had made 200+ batting first, Rams might have choked completely.

Sorry, but I just had to attack him:)

Mirza Iqbal knows everything about...well everything. He knows everyones family background, their mothers, their phoppis, their chachas-mammas-tayas best friend. I remember a few days ago Mirza Iqbal Baig compelled Mushy to say "mere khayal se mujhe apney ilaaqay ka itna nahi pata ho ga jitna aap ko pata hota hai"...but the legendary comment Mirza Iqbal Baig once made on radio and which nearly made me crash my car on the dharampura underpass was "Shoaib Malik, jin ko un ke ghar waley pyaar se 'Moon' keh ker pukaartey hain, aai, gaind kee, aur iss martaba ek buhat umda isstroke aur chaar run'

hahaha. oh, mirza.

the other day he was on with, i think, abdul qadir and he the cameras were focussing on the long-haired dhol wala, mib shared his name, etc. qadir was like "ye batayen, inho nay kab aur kahan dhol bajana shuru kiya?" but i don't think he got what qadir was trying to do, heh.

dharampura... Nice to see my hometown name on pp. :)

where is chishti mujahid these days? he was champion of glorifying things with unheard english words.

Special Mention For MIB and Tariq Saeed

Love these two guys. Love MIB, the guy loves sports and knows everything about everything. Some people dont like him but he does everything with great passion which is why he is successful.

Tariq Saeed great commentator. These two have converted me into a fan of urdu commentary. The one thing I love about these guys is that they know every pakistani player. Rameez Raja, Waqar Younis, And wasim akram dont know anything abt Pakistan cricket. Bas english seek li hai.

These guys are real commentators who know a lot about cricket.

Special mention to Abdul Qadir. Needs to learn how to dress and makes some dumb comments in the press but was insightful. Knows a lot abt domestic cricket.

Mushtaq Ahmed love his exuberance.

Miss Shoaib Mohammed and his mix of URdu and English.

+ 1

We should have smileys for all the commentators!

Hawa me urtha ghaya shot aur ooooout!

Commentary has been good through out this tournament. MIB is great!

Although I find MIB irritating at times (particularly when he interrupts the fellow commentator), but I always admire the wealth of knowledge he possesses about Pakistan cricket and the passion with which he talks about it.

Mushtaq Ahmed is always full of enthusiasm whenever he's in the commentary box. Always appreciates the players even on the smallest of displays of good commitment. Doesn't dish out undue criticism.

Amir Sohail has improved quite a bit as a commentator. I've noticed that his Urdu has improved too! One thing I don't like about his commentary is that he criticises a LOT. Doesn't spare anyone..and is quite kanjoos when it comes to praising someone. Totally opposite to Mushtaq. :D

With Mushtaq, everything is zabardast. :))

He seems like a very likeable guy. Probably has a lot of friends.

Exactly!

And Aamir Sohail on the other hand comes across as a cantankerous and bitter old fool.

Doubt he has many friends... or even if anyone, apart from his mum, truly likes him or cares much for him!

Tariq Saeed Urdu Commentary

He is brilliant. Love his work, expression and Urdu Dad joke humour.

I’m also hearing he has been signed up by an Indian company to do commentary for Hindi and Urdu listeners for the T20 World Cup? If true, good on you and well deserved!

He is a very good commentator for Urdu language. He also has insight on players. Problem is he is just a loner in the commentary box, there isn't anyone who is good in urdu commentary to sit with him and talk. Rest of the people sitting with him in the box would add their points by saying JEE HAAN....

If we could find more urdu commies and bring them in, we could also start an Urdu feature of cricket broadcasting like BCCI does with Hindi.

I also enjoy it so much when the female commentators are teasing him for treats, or when the other Urdu commentator who is so charming is talking about love with him :)))

The guy produces absolute gems in Urdu on such occasions

I think Urdu commentary needs to be improved further. Tired of the, bowler dortay wei ay, achay qadmo ka istemal. Its too radio type. There needs to be some dialogue and an appproach where a conversation is taking place and its not robotic.

I hope Shoaib Akhtar is in the Urdu commentary team somewhere during the World Cup too. He is a proper entertainer and adds a lot of drama with his style of expression!

Darzi jab tak jeeta hai wo seeta hai.

He said this about Shoaib Malik I think. All the commentators were laughing so hard.

I would love to see him and MIB together in a commentary stint. MIB’s memory and TS’s presentation is only going to improve the broadcast quality of our domestic tournaments.

Been listening to him since Radio days back in early 2010s. Don't listen to radio anymore but happy to see Tariq Saeed being a prominent part of our domestic cricket for urdu commentary.

At this point he's a legend.

His rolodex of idioms and adjectives, the immaculate timing and the meticulous research on every player; whether its someone well-known or some kid coming out of obscurity, Tariq bhai is simply a joy to listen to.

Tariq Saeed is amazing. We are fortunate to have this gem of a commentator. He's helping me improve my Urdu

tariq saeed is amazing....proper old school urdu commentary love it....his talaffuz as well so good
