What's new

Are Abid Ali and Imran Butt the future of Pakistan's opening in Test cricket?

Babar Azam about the openers:

"Conditions in the West Indies were different and the openers were finding it tough, but yes, the performance of our openers wasn't as good as we demanded and expected from them. This is the time when as a captain you need to back your players and support them as much as possible because they have performed well before also"

"The next Test series is not for a while so we will think about it at a later point but we need to recognize their contributions as well. Imran Butt may not have done well with the bat but he made good contributions by taking outstanding catches. So sometimes, you can do well in one aspect of the game not so good in the other"

So seems Imran Butt sent away now after his recent low scores .

Imran Butt will be zero loss in batting.

But I think his score per test match is +75 because of his slip catching.

First time after Younis Khan, Pakistan can win matches because of a sure slipper. A huge loss.

Pity his batting is nowhere near international standard.
