This poll is based on Virat Kohli's observation today in the pre-game press conference.

So, from that point of view, we are a stronger side when you compare it to the Champions' Trophy side. And I think the first week has been a gradual sort of progress, I would say. A couple of really exciting games, a couple of one-sided games. But there is a lot to learn in terms of composure. The teams that have been more composed are the ones that are winning games and have better chances of doing well in pressure situations. The teams that try too much or make bad decisions are the ones who are suffering and that is the pressure the World Cup brings.

A couple of changes in the roster but its more or less the same team operating in the same way with the same old weaknesses.

MS Dhoni is 2 years older than what he was in 2017. Aged wicket keeper and 2 spinners who have not played in any ICC event yet.
Lets see, time will tell.

Yes, because they have a way better bowling unit with Kuldeep, a better Bumrah and improved Shami. Of course, there batting is still the same really with the only change being Yuvraj not being there.

I'm not sure whether the top 3 will have as prolific a tournament as they had in 2015 and 2017.

Tough to say really. They have been just as consistent post ct as they were before it. The batting line up is pretty much the same.

I see some improvement in the bowling with bumrah being vastly improved and a couple of good spinners. Will be interesting to see this unit at its best.

India strengthened the bowling but weakned their batting significantly. Nobody knows how it will play out. It is almost like bowlers MUST bowl well in each match. Any poor match for bowlers Indian batsmen will not be able to cover it.

Batting is more or less the same but bowling is better with addition of spin twins

India have the best bowling attack in the world, if Bumrah doesn’t get you than Shami will, if Shami doesn’t then Kuldeep/ Chahal/ Pandya. They are the Aussies of 2003 World Cup

We all know how an underperforming Pakistan thrashed the day lights out of this tram in CT2017. I except an even better trashing this time around with openers not at their best

Indian batters were also out of form b/f asia cup. In the WC they will come with all gun blazing.

I would say they are pretty much the same with Bumrah being the main difference. Let's see how they perform this time around, they were good before too.

Top 3 heavy and Rohit / shikhar don't seem to be in best of forma. Let's hope they bring their A game else it will be an early exit.

We definitely have a more settled and experienced squad this time around. But none of that would be of any value if the top 3 misfires. Hopefully they’ll find some form on the flat tracks in England.

India is fielding an excellent team for the last few years, and there is not much difference. They have the same strengths and weaknesses a few outstanding batsmen on the top supported by a competent spinner and handy bowling unit. That being said, they struggle against a functional, fast bowling unit, and that is still the same not only for them for most of the teams.

A wrecked middle order than, and a wrecked middle order now.
An in form opening pair then, and an out of form opening pair now.

Bowlers are at par, or a little better as compared to then, but again the spin duo of Kulcha is still inexperienced as compared to Jashwin.

India could lift the WC 2011 coz they had an explosive top order, a solid middle order with Raina batting at 7 at times. This time, just like CT 17, if you knock off their top 2 cheaply, they will topple down.

This team may win a few games, but isn't winning the WC imo.

Don’t understand ..... CT 2017 they have played final so that is the ultimate being on the final
If they are better get will win cup if hey are same they will come to final again

Used to be same for Indian batsmen not so long ago.

Obviously they have a better team.

They're the second best bowling team after Australia, and one of the most balanced sides in the world at the moment.

People don't give enough credit to Kuldeep and Chahal, most teams are unable to pick some of their variations and are generally weak against leg spinners/chinamen type bowlers. Bumrah is also the best ODI bowler in the world, guy is a freak and his action enables him to bowl with such speed and accuracy, yorkers at will.

Their only weakness is an inexperienced middle order, and that's mostly because their top order is so good that the middle order doesn't get enough exposure.

I would have preferred Pant over Dhoni, but don't know how important Dhoni really is to the side with his keeping and captaincy, but he has really regressed.

The BCCIs investment in their grassroots is clearly coming off as we've been seeing this decade, someday we will get there, but for now, lets appreciate a side that could give the Aussies of 2000s a good fight.
