Team India to get cash reward of ₹58 crore for ICC Champions Trophy win, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Thursday. Notably, Rohit Sharma-led team India had won the Champions Trophy 2025 after defeating New Zealand in the finals of the marquee tournament earlier this month.

Team India won their second successive white-ball trophy after ICC T20 World Cup 2024, beating New Zealand by four wickets in the final of CT 2025 at Dubai on March 9.

A press release from BCCI stated, "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is delighted to announce a cash reward of INR 58 Crore for Team India following their triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This financial recognition honours the players, coaching and support staff and members of the Men's Selection Committee."

Under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, India dominated the tournament and registered four commanding victories en route to the final.

The team began their campaign with a solid six-wicket win over Bangladesh, then secured a convincing six-wicket triumph against Pakistan.

They continued their momentum with a 44-run victory over New Zealand before ultimately overcoming Australia by four wickets in the semi-final.

Chasing 252 for a win, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill laid the platform with a 105-run stand before KL Rahul steered the Men in Blue to a thrilling win with an over to spare.

In a press release by BCCI, Roger Binny had said, “This triumph is a landmark moment for Indian cricket, following the high of last year's T20 World Cup success. To dominate yet another global tournament and bring home the Champions Trophy is a phenomenal achievement. The team has played with unparalleled consistency and character, and I congratulate captain Rohit Sharma, Head Coach Gautam Gambhir, and the entire squad for their historic success.”

They get a prize money of 2.2 million USD. On top of that they get this? By the way Pakistan won 2.24 million USD in 2017. They split the money?

Congrats to Nitesh Kumar, Anil Patil and and Sandeep from India who although wont get a share of this, but is a big achievement for them somehow. Proud of them

yeh man, even though i was jobless back in 2017. But i was soo happy the Pakistan team winning 2.24 m that i ran a marathon of high fiving people from Pindi to Islamabad that some 15 people got more money, from which i would not get a dime.

BCCI's 58cr cash reward for the team India is nearly 3 times the official prize money rewarded by ICC.🙂

ICC Prize Money Distribution
India: $2.24 million (approximately Rs 19.45 crore)
New Zealand: $1.12 million
South Africa: $560,000
Australia: $560,000

Wow...it's a big sum, any source or hearsay

Why are getting agitated any time there is a talk about money lol
not agiated. I feel the money threads are dumb

BCCI earning 10 dollars doesnt help you fans.

You guys dont even get the level of match watching experience that people get at lords, so their is no point of celebrating your baord making 10 dollars or 20 dollars.

Question is, do you get that benefit as a fan?

I really love how in Lords they give you that bluetooth set to listen to commentary or how in Australia they have different brands of restaurants serving good food.

How many times does your stupid point need to be mocked before you stop parroting tje exact same toddler like point?

And no congratulations to Mohammed, Ul Haq and Azam from Pakistan who will still be jealous of this news, but gawk at the money and sell selfies for 25 dollars after fighting over a plate of biryani.

The decision to make Rohit the white ball captain in place of Kohli has proven to be a master stroke by the BCCI.

kohli is a good Test captain. That is the casaulty in this mess up. Rohit is a better white ball captain. Not MSD level. But good enough.

Indian Cricketers can afford to retire comfortably and not even have to worry about working for another day once their playing days are over based on their career earnings in the sport.

Other countries are not so lucky. In the abscence of IPL money, english, australian, south african, new zealand cricketers even when they end up playing for their countries and their respective domestic cricket teams for a good 10-15-20 years, still need to find work in retirement and cannot afford to just fall back on their career earnings alone.

CT not that important. I don't know why this tournament still exists should be scrapped.

The ICC has already prioritized T-20 Cricket over ODI's, therefore the CT format should stay. I would rather that the ICC has the T-20 WC every 4 years rather than 2 years just like the other formats.

Na T20 makes them more money witi less effort in terms of cost. They will keep minting the money as boards like PCB need to be fed money to survive.

YOu should asked why some of pakistan fans are crying about it. They can't digest the success of indiam cricket , it's fine and understable nut why are crying in This thread . BCCI has honoured the champion team .
:kp
You should ask them. Fair enough... Staying relevant to the topic is t he main thing.
