Are the small boundaries in PSL exposing our players when it comes to international cricket?

Watching khushdil and asif ali hit, asif alit got out in an area which would had been inside the boundary in psl.

Khushdil shahs 2-3 boundaries would had been 6s instead of fours in psl.

Our psl hitters are being exposed in international cricket. Pcb should maintain proper boundary measures, or else inflated psl avgs will only expose our players in international

The area where khushdil got out, that would had been a six in psl, as you can tell by the boundary marks

They are beyond pathetic allrounders who can make Hafeez Malik etc look world class
Even Harvey S Lee North Katich are better all rounders then these aspiring Flintoff Hadlee and Devs

Not sure what you are on about. The boundaries were around 100 to 120m long. The fact is that khushdil is not even half the man and is an absolute weakling. He has the same fraud big hitter tag the likes of Ifthikar and Faheem have. He has no physical attributes, has a poor bat speed and a garbage technique. A proper galli mohalla level player. One of the worst to play for Pakistan.

To be honest, Lahore and Karachi grounds are really big, even when the boundaries are bought in.

That plays a role.

I have always maintained the same point of view about pitches and boundary sizes in PSL.

The pitches should be batting paradise and the boundaries should be big (80m but at least 75m all round).
That will even up the contest between bat and ball, make cricket good to watch for fans and also massively improve our cricket in all aspects.

I am saying that when you smaller boundaries in psl, every other batsmen will be able to hit a six and get drafted in international team.

But in international crixket, when proper boundaries are being used, thesee players get exposed as their sixes dont reach the ropes and they get out to catches. Thus causing palistan to lose.

Asif ali, khushdil are few examples who were clearing ropes only because of small boundaries.

Psl should have boundaries that would be used in international. If the meausrement is correct, than every pretend hitter will get exposed and no fake selections would be made

One noticeable issue in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is the boundary dimensions. Many batsmen effortlessly clear the boundaries in PSL matches, often creating the illusion of immense hitting power. However, when these same players step onto the international stage, they struggle to clear boundaries consistently, highlighting a stark difference.

The shorter boundaries in the PSL could be inflating batsmen's confidence and distorting their ability to adapt to more challenging dimensions in international cricket. This isn't limited to just a few players it seems to be a trend across the board.

Should PSL organizers consider standardizing boundary sizes to align with international standards? It might enhance the quality of the league and better prepare players for global challenges. What are your thoughts?

Yes obviously

Nothing to do with boudaries, the big hitters will clear them, you aren’t playing any.
Qaddafi probably has bigger boundaries than hobart.

PSL boundaries are shorrt, quality of PSL is atrocious , also the X factor is missing same old players being worked out

Yes.

I think PSL boundaries need to be longer.

Short boundaries make things too easy for batters and they don't develop good hitting skills.

They have to be small otherwise we will see scores of 70-80 only in PSL as the quality of fast bowling in PSL is best ever.

Flattest tracks and short boundaries

Still you will find these cowards looking for 170 scores without the international pros

May be Pakistan batsmen need have healthy diet , like Buffalo meat and Desi Ghee of Cow to increase their strength, surely these mishits are an embarrassment

Maybe they should select bulky Pathan/Pashtun batters.

The biggest issue seems to be the lack of bounce in your pitches.

I said this earlier. Teams are bowling hard lengths to PAK batsmen and they have no range against that length and get tied down pretty easily. Including Babar.

On low bouncing Pakistani pitches, they can handle it. But everywhere else, including India and even SL it hits the bat higher and they don't cope very well.

Irfan Niazi looks like an exception though it's early days.

aussies are profound pork eaters.

Consequently, their genetics and aggression are superior to the skinnier, shorter pakistani counterparts. It's david v goliath.

Similar trend to pak hockey. Our weakened frames couldn't keep up with quicker gaming on AstroTurf, which caucasians excel at possibly due to diet.
