What's new

Are we seeing too much spirit of cricket nonsense from Pakistan?

Patriotism and Nationalism, there is a difference between both.

Americans are patriotic, where at the same time Americans are able to call out a wrong. They accept the mistakes they made with black people.
Nationalism was, when every American was on the bandwagon to start war on terror, not knowing what the end goal was.

Patriotism is love for your country, while Nationalism is trying to unite your country under some idea, shared history etc. What India has is not patriotism but blind nationalism. They can and will never question their country and blindly accept whatever policy the country makes. Indians cant call out wrong if an Indian is wrong because they think it will be a national embarrasment so they defend every act of an Indian.

Soo please, dont give us this bs of being most patriotic

We know who we are and how great our nation is. America cannot teach Bharat nothing, whereas America decimated the indegenous American population and filled the region with European immigrants, Bharat has allowed every community to thrive.

We have both nationalism and patriotism.

We love our Bharat Mata like a real mother and we are united in our cause to reclaim the lost status of our nation of being the greatest of all time.

No way he is a nice guys .have you remembered how he was mocking Indian batters wicket in 2021 WT20 ?
No, I don't. I hate T20 cricket. And I don't have photographic memories of the game since Sachin retired. What did he do?

He was playing world game with another team after India loss. Then when he was fielding at boundary he was mocking how he got wickets of indian batsman to Pakistani fan's

Pakistan might not be producing jaw-dropping talents now, but I feel they've got enough players to produce better performances than they have been nowadays.

Some of you might take the following as an Indian trying to subtly brag about the IPL, but I don't follow the IPL anymore nor care for it much unless Rohit is in the final or there's some unbelievably great performance I hear about.

Anyway, I think if Pakistan want to perform with more fight and zest, they should blanket ban the telecast of the IPL in Pakistan. Obviously not realistic, because social media will be where players can still watch clips. But theoretically speaking, no Pakistani player should watch anything from the IPL. I think it has corrupted them and made them weak. There is a desperation in them to make up for their absence in the IPL by trying to be chatty and to impress other elite cricketers who don't turn up at the PSL. Images of top players from different countries mingling and having fun together seems to have created a kind of lust for it in Pakistani players.

Instead of trying to impress with their game, they now seem intent on impressing with their personalities.

Dhoni often said, cricket is 90% your mind.

Dhoni when he said cricket is 90%, should have refined his answer to say that cricket is 90% preparation, fitness, practice and repetition to exhaustion. However everyone can do that in comparable spades, it’s the last 10% that makes a difference, and of that 10%, 90% is mental.

Pakistan is not suffering from a mindset issue they are suffering from practice and preparation. And at the end of the day, some of their players are just not good enough.

You can’t concede 350 in multiple games and then pass the buck to mindset. The pop gun attack is about as potent as a water ballon against a bulldozer. The fielding is at par, but the batting is a lot of flash in the pan and little follow through.

The PBC youtube page says "heartwarming gesture by Shaheen Afridi" So I assume it was just from Afridi.
I reckon he got the baby a Pakistan cricket jersey. :ROFLMAO:

Let's see if Bumrah and Co reciprocate.

Hopefully none of this OTT stuff in the England series

Pakistani men in Pakistan behave like children even up to the age of 30. This is a cultural/parenting problem. There are exceptions ofcourse but it is generally the norm. This bleeds into their conduct on the pitch.

Elsewhere 19 year olds become men and by the time they are 30 they are seasoned independant adults.

We need to address this.
