This picture made me think and ask this!

I prefer face to face.

Then talk on the phone.

Chat/texts only reserved for office works.

hate talking on the phone, much rather text or talk irl. i struggle with talking on the phone without body language cues to indicate whether someone is interested or engaged, if someone isnt interested in me irl, i just dont talk.

on text chats i assume a consistent low level of engagement with everyone and thus dont really care about the effort im expending into the discourse, and u can always walk away from a text chat and pick it up later.

I find the opposite is true personally. Texting doesn’t do it for me in conveying my full expression, nor can I pick up the emotion of the other person via text. Especially longer conversations.

I have a friend who hates being called up though lol. Needs a warning via text beforehand if you’re gonna call. Introvert.

Face to face, then phone. Text/chat has it's place but tends to cause more problems than it's worth.

im an introvert, so pbly lean on body language as a crutch, also i need the visual stimulus to hold my attention, i have had friends who i have known for decades and i pbly have never spoken to on the phone for more than 5 minutes.

i talk to foreign relatives for 10 to 15 minutes every 2 to 3 weeks however as its the only real way of keeping in touch.

I think it boils down what you expect from the conversation.

If this is a serious back and forth then a phone call is needed

If this is a stating of the facts or something where you dont expect much feedback, a text/whatsapp is good, imo
