Arshad Iqbal and Mohammad Wasim Jr need to get a chance in the series against the West Indies

Next series is against the Windies, and Pakistan still has not figured out the t20 combination they need.

So many concerns we have , middle order, spinners, strike rate from top orders and fast bowling as well

In preparation for the world t20 its clear pcb wont make too many changes even if its needed.

For spinners they will go with imad , shadab and qadir however i think they should have tested more spinners but dont see it happening now

For the middle order knowing PCB their solution for t20 world cup will be to bring malik and possibly iftikahar ( again not the correct solution, but see this happening)

However in terms of fast bowling i dont see much changes either but if PCB management will experiment, they will possibly give these two a go in the windies series, and they should give both a chance.

Even if both fail it doesnt matter they need to be given a proper chance and i dont think they will do worse than the current lot. In fact i rate arshad iqbal highly and think he will be a great suprise package.
I do believe wasim jr can offer a lot too and would do great in Uae and Oman conditions.


Im not concerned about what the result of the series will be, rather by the end of this series i hope PCB have more of a clear direction of what team they want for the world t20. Ideally i would want arshad iqbal and wasim jr to play the 5 matches for this series but if they can get even 3 , we will have an idea of what they can do.

West Indies have just beaten Australia 4-1.They are good in T20 format.They have lots of powerful hitters.

True windies went 4-1 agaisnt aussie, but windies due tend to stuggle agaisnt spin...our spinners will do well i feel doesnt mean their world beaters just will do well in west indies condition, and due to fact that windies struggle against spin.

However how are fast bowlers and middle order batsman will fare is what will be important

Wasim jr and arshad can show their worth i feel if given the proper chance

Thoroughly impressed by WI management and captain that has tried so many different players and combinations in last two T20 series.

However, Pak have not only gone with usual players but, havent even tried different batting position changes or experimentation with the roles defined for each bowler.

Winning or losing is part of the game but, without even trying different players and combinations its difficult to know what exactly is the best team combination Pak can put on the ground.

Nawaz has been hard done by Imad's recall to the T20 side, but I still feel that he might have something to offer ahead of Usman Qadir. The latter is very expensive, and doesn't have the same excellent record as Nawaz does in the UAE. It will be worth seeing who gets a chance.

Arshad Iqbal is a good shout, but I would pick Mohammed Imran and Imran Khan Jr ahead of Mohammed Wasim Jr who seemed to lack much cricket brain when I watched him bowl recently.

Wasim Jnr is an all rounder he's thier for a replacement as fashim ashraf.

If fahim ashraf is considered a all rounder then definitely Wasim Jnr is.of course he isn't a batesman he's an bowling all rounder.Wasim Jnr plays the scoop as good as anyone it shows he isn't just a slogger

Mohammad Wasim looks like an exciting prospect. Everything from his bowling action, the pace he generates and the ingenuity he showed with the bat impressed me. But as it is with any other PSL talent, you can't really judge them till they play international cricket.

Let's see how he does.
