Looks pretty impressive, tall and decent action, bowling 130-135 kph. Just turned 17 around a month ago.

He also impressed against Australia U19 before this series and then picked up a fifer against NZU19.

Good prospect.

Some very good seamers in the U19 WC. It will be interesting to see how they develop in the coming years. It was interesting to see Lloyd Pope bowling as well for Australia, some exciting young cricketers.

Needs to become a little bit more agile I think, he's tall and muscular, just needs that little bit of speed and agility and he'll be bowling 140 easily, his height is a great asset.

saw him live in Melbourne - very very impressive for his age.. i was more interested in watching him bowl than shaheen. :amir3

This kid impresses me much more than Shaheen Afridi

Great runup and looks effortless and he is a right armer

He is the guy who is better than shaheen. And i saw him bowling faster than ssa in league previous matches

A little disappointed yesterday. He seemed to be straining for pace but lacked the fluency to bowl at the pace he wanted. He is young and will develop, but nowhere near the level of Afridi.

Pakistan lacks good bowling coaches. There are plenty of tall and well built youngsters in Pakistan but there is no proper cricket setup. There is lot of nepotism and many good youngster are never given a chance,

Very good prospect, liked him more than SSA. Also, right arm, tall new ball pacer. If Afridi is 6'6", Arshad should be close to 6'4"

Closest to international ready of the lot. Just need to loosen up his body a bit but his game translates to internationals easily. He's got the length, accuracy and bounce already.

His action is similar to Shami's.

Yeah, resembles his, somewhat. His skillset is similar to Windies bowlers though. I saw him bowl an outswinging yorker on the money against Australia. It's imprinted in my mind. Takes great skill and control to execute that.

Love his action/bowling, was he picked by anyone in the PSL? (feel like all 3 of our pacers should be in the PSL)

I just hope we don't waste this lot of talented pace bowlers.

Still remember the lot Jamshed Ahmed and Akhtar Ayub were a part off, totally got ignored when they moved in FC cricket. Sad.

More closer to younger age Michel Holding (Or Walsh), if I can recall correctly. That high arm action isn't traditional South Asian action.

Yes. And him being tall (maybe 6'3 +) is actually a massive advantage with that action. Pakistan desperately needs a Tall right arm fast/fast medium bowler in all formats especially tests. He needs to be taken care of.

If you have the chance to talk to Ul Haq - he won't be able to tell who is Arshad Iqbal. If you wish, I can take a bet - and I trust your honesty, won't question if I loose. How can you expect these staffs from a guy couldn't fix his "English" over a decade?

PS: Here, English isn't and added quality - but someone leading (or destined to lead) PAK, opted to choke on 1st gear in front of global audience (at podium as Captain or MoM) with fundamental English - because the guy didn't have the willingness to spend just about 100 hours to learn something that won't have made his responses like a joke? CS is an entrepreneurial role - here apart from eye for talent, you need the passion to find new talent as well. I read, once Shankley went to Glasgow (from Liverpool) overnight train to see a young kid he was interested and came back in next train, for next morning's training with the team ......

Extremely impressive. Get him and Shaheen Shah working with the national team ASAP. We cannot have him toiling away uselessly in the domestic scene becoming a trundler.

He’s a quality bowler, just feels like he lacks a bit of fluency in his run in. Otherwise he should be clocking 140 consistently. He’s already got the other ingredients. Just have this feeling he’ll be another one lost to the system.

SarfiBabarHaris this guy.

I was thinking about this guy and you just bumped it. His action is similar to Abbas's but he is taller and quicker than Abbas. Definitely a one to keep an eye on.

Let’s hope he doesn’t get lost in the system :(

Rated him the moment I saw him. The limelight has been on Shaheen but when I saw them bowl I felt Arshad was slightly ahead of Shaheen and was the more complete fast bowler at the point.
