Stupid comparrison!Everyone gave their very best except may be Jadhav. There is nothing to be ashamed of. 338 is not an easy score to chase. If it was the case, why did England with their mighty batting line up lose to Pakistan or SL? It all comes down to pressure. At some point you simply realize that the target is too big. That's all.
Pakistan fans should first question about the phainty they received from WI in their opener.
He couldn’t find any timing. There was just a lack of class which is usually expected from Indian batsmen.
Doesn’t seem suited to No. 4.
He can only make it into the team if he’s also playing as a keeper.
Also I find it strange that he was played over DK today while DK was selected in the original squad over him. Today’s team selection was contradictory in that sense.
Exactly! The main issue was when the RRR is 10 an over and a batsman is unable to score more than 5 or 6 an over, with wickets in hand, they should hit or get out of the way for the next batsman to try their hand at that ask. Neither MSD nor Kedar were trying to achieve 10 RPO. Only Hardik was trying it. Kedar was happy to tap it for singles until the last over. Same with MSD. It wasn't as much a lost cause that is the issue here, it was that they resigned even without trying after Hardik got out. They had nothing to lose with 5 wickets in hand and two easier games ahead to help them qualify for SF. The botched chase will cost Kedar his ODI career. MSD is anyway going to retire soon after the WC. MSD and Kedar have sunk together.
Lol at people who think India put in their best to win the game. Not wanting to hit and not being able to hit are two different things.
and you know that how!!!!!Exactly!
Thats all we are saying!
No one is saying india should have won, but they should have tried to win!
I didn't support india today and said they would lose, in the match tread, look it up!and you know that how!!!!!
What is shameful is the fact that a bunch of Pakistan fans have been rioting on the board trying to discredit the #2 ranked ODI team win over the #1 team
What is shameful îts the fact that these same Pakistan fans seem to ignore the subpar performance of their team in the initial phase of the WC and now south a couple of wins feel entitled typ be in the knockout stage
But as a global sport, icc must look into anything that can tarnish the sport!
And to add to it...his pathetic running between the wickets. Unpardonable. Needs to be sent back to Ranji trophy.
This. Grandpa is beyond any shame. Did anyone see how the ex captain 'cool' calmly lifted his bat on the first ball he faced yesterday! As if he was playing test cricket and didn't even want to touch the ball.I see some reference to 2009 CT lol I don't even remember any such match. How do you guys remember any CT matches. Anyway, what we saw was not new. Dhoni got booed for the exact same thing last year at Lords. Nothing new to be ashamed of. He is far too pwoerful that nobody dares to question his attitude.
Can you please stop with you player favoritism nonsense for once? Pant has showed a lot of intent from the get go, this is his first WC game and it's understandable that he fumbled, sometimes the intent and attitude is what matters the most and it lifts the whole team up. I am very proud of Pant and Pandya today, just for the fact that they tried their best to to take us through the line. I am sure Vijay also would have been the same, we need to back going players with hunger and passion, and do away with the Jadhavs and the Dhonis (I am a big fan but he is done for sure).
God save Indian cricket now where Pant and Pandya are our new saviours lol.I was talking about intent and you are taking about something else. Currently, of the lot we have in the squad, Pant the hack as you call him fashionably along with Pandya are better placed than Jadhav/Shankar and Rahul to bail us out when the RR is > 10.
You feel is Dhoni was technically competent batsman? No, he was never the one. Anyone, who has seen Dhoni's struggles in test matches on away tours specially in overcast conditions would vouch for that. He has been a hard hitting batsman who has done wonders with his limited technical ability. So, there is every reason Pant too can develop in future years and correct his technical flaws.
Don't you feel as fans of Indian cricket we were undone by the way Dhoni and Jadhav played? Don't you agree Dhoni is past his prime and he is not even able to have his famous Dhoni Review Systemm in place which cost India dearly. If Dhoni's ears and eyes were as sharp as when he was younger, he would have readily went for the DRS, but today his decision cost India dearly. Roy would have been gone and England would have been in pressure. I'm just raising this point as you time and again talk about Dhoni's brilliance on the field apart from his batting.
Dhoni is done, accept that bro. I get angry only when we fail to field our best possible eleven.
Due to your ex captains comments live on air e.g.And why would ICC need to investigate this match, only because some delusional Pak fans, living in their own alternate reality feel that this match was for India's to win and by having lost to England, underperformed !!!!!
If that's the case i would be more inclined to refer the umpire in Afg-Pak match who declared Imad not out when he was clearly out low. That was a more egregious decision and probably cost Afg the match
Due to your ex captains comments live on air e.g.
" i can't explain this'
etc
So you are happy for a newcomer coming and showing intent but failing .... But, are amazingly calm seeing pathetic display of Dhoni and Jadhav. A 20/20 hack, he may be, but he will DO NO WORSE than Dhoni/Jadhav and Rahul. That kid at least tried his best , hack he may be, doesn't matter, in which cricketing sense is, Dhoni's batting style is close to purity or perfection?
I salute Dhoni for his past achievements but in current scenario he is hurting us badly...
Well when the PM of Pakistan is advising the captain of his cricket team, and that so publically, it is heard to discredit the political connection
For Dhoni bh@kts, this was ok since they scored runs more than what India scored in their first 10 overs.Absolutely shambolic performance from India..Dhoni and Kedar should be booted out for ever ,for such a inexplicable batting display

Actually Pant failure was bigger.. Also No. 4 spot too high for him coz he is tend to throw his wicket away.. As of now he's only good for 30 odd runs as he lacks batting maturity and game awareness.. Why the heck he played that shot when there's a player especially for that shot? And it's not the first time he play like that.. He had good test record but he played those innings like yesterday one.. Fortunately for him those shots are either landed safely or carry to sixes..
I agree with all that you said, he needs to choose correct shots and play properly because he has the ability and he needs to curb his enthusiasm to strike from ball one.
The point I was raising really was the lack of intent shown by Dhoni and Jadhav, nothing else. As I said I would have been happy losing the match by 50 to 60 runs trying to win rather than being defeated by 3o runs without even trying.
This is ODI cricket, you don't need perfect techniques, you just need to be an effective player. Dhoni, Bevan are some examples of limited technique but with effective application were able to produce great output. So, saying Pant/Pandya as some by hacks, I really don't understand. Pandya is one of the clean hitters who is capable of tonking all kinds of bowlers, he need to improve his game against pace though and Pant needs to choose his shots more wisely.
The problem with Pant is his batting maturity and game awareness.. Even in last IPL where he played very well he lost at least half a dozen matches when run a ball needed.. That's the reason he wasn't selected for WC at first place.. And he's not trying to rectify those mistake..
And about yesterday match, match lost after Dhoni - Pandya partnership, not bcoz of Dhoni - Jadhav partnership..
I have followed Indian cricket and yes, Kohli and Sharma do start slow and ify ou think that is not a problem, then you have blinders on. They start slow, today they started too slow (27 runs in 10 overs??). Kohli at one stage was striking at 50. All of this can be forgiven if setting a score or chasing maybe 300 or 310 against a lesser side...to do so against England, with Plunkett in the side, with Archer as good as he is, with Rashid possibly providin gan extra dimension is utter rubbish and a terrible display from what Bogle labeled as "the two giants of white ball cricket" (when talking of Sharma and Kohli at the crease).
I am happy the hype of this so-called beast Pant got exposed today. I was one of the few here who predicted his downfall and he exaclty did the same today. Bats like a proper t20 hack and should be kept away from ODI team till he changes his way of batting.
So stop crying and keep on posting about India's loseI didn't support india today and said they would lose, in the match tread, look it up!
I told everyone else not to bother supporting india in todays match, in the same thread, look it up!
I don't for a second believe we need indias help to qualify for the semis, i believe we WILL qualify for the semis on our own hard work!
But as a global sport, icc must look into anything that can tarnish the sport!
I am not crying, i am shaming! So stop crying and keep on posting about India's lose
Ashamed , not that much. Glad, yes! Because the loss exposes Dhoni and Jadhav and the internal politics which has been going on in the team. At the behest of Dhoni, young cricketers are being sidelined just so his place is intact. And his *******, Jadhav is in the team which further spoils the balance.
Hoping against hope that the 2 are kicked out before further damage.
Don't agree with you at all, which is fine. I had already explained what I needed to.
Good. This is how the rivalry should be. I too enjoy phaintas that Pakistan gets on a regular basis. What was it - 2 wins in 24 games?
Kohli was smiling today after the loss so it was all planned. This has been a fun World Cup though. I didn’t want England to be knocked out as it just makes everything so interesting and no team is unbeaten anymore.
You know what I mean and don’t need to explain.

Good tight bowling and loss of opener for 0.28 runs in 10 overs please explain
