ASF arrests model Ayyan Ali for smuggling US$ 506,800

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Renowned model Ayyan Ali was arrested by Airport Security Force (ASF) from the Benazir International Airport in Islamabad today (Saturday) on smuggling foreign currency worth millions of rupees overseas, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, Ayyan was off to Dubai through a private airline. ASF officials checked her luggage on the counter and recovered US $ 506,800 from her.

ASF officials confiscated the money and handed her over to the custom authorities whereas money laundering case has also been registered against her.

Moreover, the model was shifted to Civil Hospital Rawalpindi for medical test and will be presented in the court afterwards.

On the other hand, ASF also foiled an attempt of smuggling four kilograms heroin to Italy and took suspect Khalid Mehmood into custody who was enroute to Italy via Abu Dhabi through a private airline.

ASF handed over the suspect to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for interrogation.

Ayyan's father shot, wounded by unknown assailants in Gujar Khan

The father of supermodel Ayyan, who is currently detained in Adiala jail in a money-laundering case, was shot and injured by unknown motorcyclists near Gujar Khan area on the outskirts of Rawalpindi Saturday.

Ayyan's father Muhammad Hafeez alleged that the people involved in the money-laundering case against his daughter had him attacked.

Meanwhile, a customs court extended for 14 days the judicial remand of Ayyan, who was arrested on March 14 from Benazir Bhutto International Airport for attempting to fly out to Dubai with over $0.5 million.

You can get UAE nationality technically but 99.99 % chance is you never will. I know dozens of people who have been toally intergrated into Emarati culture for a couple of generations now and have applied since 10 to 15 years to no avail. Many have even been deported after spending 30 to 40 years of their lives just because the constantly changing visa and employment laws couldn't be kept up with.

Some have gotten Jawaz (Passport) but not Jinsia (Citizenship) which is basically useless when it comes availing of the governments many benifits.

In general no one really has any real rights to enjoy and the local arabs are kept happy with mind boggling benifits just so there is no uprising against the ruling families. Basic rights is mostly a joke too with the government having absolute power and no one can say or do anything against it.

As for starting a business, yes you can but you must pay a local national a fee to be your sponsor. As do many other laws designed to give your hard earned money to the undeserving. Before you had to keep the business in the "sponsors" name with his signature required on most documents which basically made you a slave in your own company, but recently they have changed the title to Wakeel Khadmat or Services Agent and he should be satisfied by just taking your money.

Ayyan Ali was arrested from Islamabad airport while leaving for Dubai on March 14, 2015, and $506,000 were recovered from her possession.
