Its so easy to be like a keyboard warrior rather than going out and fighting it out on field.

You do realize he has played the game internationally right, a typical keyboard warrior has generally never performed the action

He is just sat a retired pro sat around being bored and trolling now. Nothing to see here.

KP is one of the most bitter persons in sports. No wonder he was a toxic influence in the dressing room and all his teammates hated him.

He is right - nobody performed when it mattered. Might as well go home.

going to happen in any case

In an ODI series I'd agree that the matches after series is decided are redundant but definitely not in Tests, every test win matters and England would love to equal the scoreline of the 2015 Ashes at 3-2 rather than leave with another 5-0 embarrassment.

Wonder if that is what he said when England were 0-3 down on his last tour?

If so, what effect would that have on the manager’s attitude to him?

KP's bitterness aside, wonder where was the pride before the series, and they have to invoke it after the series is lost. More apt to say playing to minimize humiliation.

Englishmen don’t usually start fighting until our backs are to the wall.

The reaction against Kevin on Twitter about this has been very negative and he deserves it.

Every side likes to whitewash another team, if they fail to do it, it gets to them.

If you think playing for a country has pride only when it's in a format you like, you show a shameful attitude.

Your country matters more than your obsession with your preferred Test format, may it die a slow and invisible death.

Haha he is becoming more like a Pakistani ex player who all seem to be bitter about the current team..

So the Australians showed no pride by not sending their absolute best XI for the India LO series? Worked out pretty well for them I think since they're 3-0 up in the Ashes right now with their pace battery contributing pretty nicely.

Like it or not, important Test series always hold much more importance than a random bilateral LO series and it will stay that way. It's got nothing to do with pride, LO cricket is already oversaturated in the cricketing calendar and most matches don't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Hardly anyone will remember a year later that India beat Aus 4-1 in an ODI series in late 2017. But everyone will remember the Ashes scoreline even decades after it has happened.

Absolute egotistic clown that only cares about himself.

Laughable tweets by him comparing BBL to Ashes

In a way what KP says is true but again somethings are better not said. Cook's innings was brilliant but England would have rather had him play such innings in the first 3 tests. This innings probably has saved him from being axed after the Ashes campaign.

He always come across as someone who tries to hard to sound articulate and intelligent. For me, he belongs in the same category as Shoaib Akhtar - when they speak, you don't listen.

Thats is not quite true. Yes the series is lost but there are still ranking points to play for which affects the icc standings.
It's like saying , Tottenhams aim at the start of the year was to win the premiership, but now they can't do it , so harry Kanes goals don't count for much. They do because the rankings table is still moving ( although first place is out of reach)

Why do people spend their time watching matches they don’t want to happen? And/or slagging off people who perform in them? I get being disappointed and that dead rubbers don’t have as much value or stakes for the team. Just turn off the tv, and put your phone away.
