Now I know why there are nearly half a million viewers on the Hotstar app stream right now. Thats the global viewership. Lots of Lankans and Afghans must be watching
 
OSN Cricket HD has been pretty good. Ads are minimally used, although the typical same repetitive ads. Picture quality's spot on.
 
How is OSN planning to telecast 2 matches on one day during Super 4?

Im sad you guys are facing probs with hotstar,but dunno i just opened hotstar during indvhongkong and stream was just 10 sec delay,which is cool since i havent paid for anything ,tho im still wondering how its showing me live ,may be its some integration with my jio services ,whatever the case is ,since im travelling during ind v pak i ll still enjoy it with 10 sec delay :-)

yes, it works fine with Jio even without you subscribing for it...

OSN hardly has any cricket broadcasting rights left now ever since BeIn has stepped in. BeIn has managed to strike deals Australia and English boards. They also have IPL and BigBash, i think they will most likely take BCCIs broadcasting rights from OSN as well.
 
Can you cast Hotstar to the TV through android or iPhone? Really appreciate a quick response before I subscribe...
 
Yes you can once you have downloaded the App it gives you the option to chromecast you can do this before you even subscribe

Yes you can use Chromecsat to cast your Hotstar stream to the TV. You can cast from your Hotstar app, as well as from the Chrome browser on your android phone or laptop/PC

And that is the issue in the Middle East apart from Qatar since BeIN Packages aren't being sold anymore. So I'd assume either BeIN sells the right to OSN as I don't think BeIN would be taking any financial loss by just having the right to themselves and not get any advertisers on their channels.

But then on the other hand they didn't gave up FIFA World Cup rights so why would they give up home series.

It is still offering free trial. In fact I just signed up like half an hour go :) Leave the promo code area empty. But you will need to enter your credit/debit card details. Just cancel before the end of 14th day and you'll not be charged. ;-)

How will they show two games live at the same time

So i am abit confused as on friday there will be two games shown live, so how does that work? How do we know which channel will show which game live? Since india also plays on friday, that could mean most channels will opt to show their game live. Helpp
 
The one where india is playing will get more coverage I would assume? This is beyond ridicilous. I for one am interested watching all 4 team play, but now I have to nit-pick which match I want to watch.

Both games will be shown live on seperate channels. To keep it simple .... Matches featuring India will be on OSN Cricket / Star Sports 1. Non India games on OSN Sports 5 / Star Sports 2. All matches streamed on Hotstar in US, CA, UK and India. All matches streamed on Yupp TV in Europe, Aus and NZ..

I think PTV Sports will be showing the Pakistan v Afghanistan game, and OSN Cricket will showing the India v Bangladesh game.

Btw, it happens again the next day :facepalm:
 
Thats true but the next day its pak vs india so OSN will show that.
