Pakistan lost in the finals of the 2022 Asia Cup and the 2025 Asia.

In which event did they perform better?

In my opinion, it was in 2025, as they lost three games in both tournaments, but in 2025, they lost to only one team, whereas in 2022, they lost to two sides. Additionally, the team in 2022 was at its peak, whereas in 2025, the team was in a transition phase.

2025 run was better

2025.

As dust settles, the win against SL and Bangladesh in hindsight could've easily been a loss- so in both games Pakistan showed excellent character to pull off. They smashed Afghanistan in the tri series earlier too.

Indian line up in 2022:

KL (gives you reprieve)
Rohit
Kohli (gives you reprieve
Sky
Pant (gives you reprieve)
Pandya

That’s 3 batters in the top six who eat up deliveries and somehow allow bowlers to settle into a rhythm

On top of it, they had no Bumrah+Kuldeep. But tbf they did have Yuzendra who is a good bowler.

Chahal had an average record in t20is. Was poor in that phase after he had a good start to his career. Varun Chakravarthy has done way better.

Chahal is not as good as Varun or Kuldeep. This current spin troika is better than any spin attack in our T20I history.

2022, they pulled of some great wins, they did end up losing to Sri Lanka twice in the super 4 and finals, although the finals was heartbreaking since we had SL at 58 for 5, it was a good come back win by Sri Lanka

If I remeber correctly when Sri Lanka bowled, the first over there was like 10 extra and wides given, Pakistan could still not cash in on that.

Both Finals 2022 and 2025 where dissapointing, if Pak played a little better they could have pulled off wins on both occasions.

2025 –didnt win a single game vs india, still had India crying buckets.
Winning is overrated… making India sulk is the real trophy. 🏆😂

2025 was slightly better, as the bowling was performing much better.

2022 was win toss and win match kind of tournament, while this one had teams defending totals atleast. Even then Pakistan found a way to lose batting second :vk2

2025 India is more scratchy. In 2022 India had a timid unit also lack of depth was obvious. As far as Pakistan goes they relied on bowlers in 2022, They relied on bowles now. They relied on tail batting then. They relied on tail batting now. Remember Nawaz and Asif Ali, Naseem shah played important role with bat.
