The side will be competing in Group B alongside Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. It plays its first game against Afghanistan on September 9 in Abu Dhabi.

Hong Kong had last featured in the 2022 editon of the Asia Cup, which was a T20 tournament. It lost to India and Pakistan and failed to make it past the group stage.

Other than Hong Kong, only India and Pakistan have named their squads.

Why is Hong Kong a separate team? Shouldn't they play under China?
They both have their own National Olympic Committee and participate separately in international sporting events.

Anyway, I think India or sri lanka is gonna lift the trophy again.

Yeah but it is odd.

Hong Kong is a part of China now. So, they should merge in my opinion.
