Which team do you like better or prefer

For me the Asia Cup Squad despite its flaws where more balanced than this squad.
The entire squad selection for this world cup raises a lot of eyebrows, too many spinners, not enough batsman or proper pacers, and they seem to always get the playing eleven wrong. This has been the story of Pakistan cricket for a while

As stated I preferred the Asia Cup squad, would like to hear your guys thoughts.

Even if Pakistan some how gets to the semis...and even win the world cup, it is clear this squad is unbalanced.

At the end of the Asia Cup, i remember the feeling that Babar and Rizwan were the answers to our middle order woes. The players out of the team always look better than the players in the team.

understanable, but what I am referring is in terms of balance and team selection which is better, for me personally I knew Rizwan and Baber where not the answers, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Haris and Hussain Talat where righfully dropped but there replacements where no better, but this world cup squad has no balance whats so ever, it really does not make any sense how they have been going about selecting the playing 11, in the asia cup, some of it seemed to make sense.

They lost 3 times
But at least we're heading in better direction
But took back gear and results are in front of you

exactly granted 3 matches lost to India, who where the better team, but still Pak was more or less decent in the tournament, there was issues with that squad and combination as well, but it felt more balanced and was heading into a better direction like you said.

Exactly it was really bad in fact this game in the WC vs India, reminded me of the 1st game Pakistan played vs India, in the 1st asia cup match, in particular the batting (just reckless shots and giving your wicket away) but in this match in the world cup it was worse.

The reality: Pakistan is now a very average cricket team/nation. The same group of players will perform in PSL, act tough and sledge their fellow countrymen, tell the press how good they are blah blah blah. Ongoing cycle.

I think Asia Cup side was more balanced. It also showed in the performance.

It’s not enough to compare. You have to pinpoint where the imbalance lies. In my view

It’s Shadab. I know he is inventive with the bat but his bowling is strictly PSL level.

Then it’s lack of a decent bowler. I think Wasim Naseem do ok. Not sure about mirza.

Then I think agha should be down at 8 or 9. I genuinely don’t know what Kamran Ghulam did wrong but we need a solid batter at 3.
