I am actually surprised to not see any discussions around this topic considering this is a predominantly British forum. If last summer in Britain was all about Southport attacks and protests that followed after, summer of 2025 will always be remembered for Asylum seeker hotel. This time however it is not stopping and only flaring up more and more with every passing day.

Chronology of events

13 July
: Protests erupted outside the Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, after an asylum seeker was arrested and charged with sexual offences involving a 14-year-old girl. Demonstrators chanted slogans like “Save our kids” and “Send them home,” with violent disorder emerging that night. Six people were arrested.

17 July: A second protest turned violent again—with fireworks, eggs, and attempts to damage police vehicles. Two arrests were made.

20 July: A substantial protest involving roughly 1,500 people, mainly women, staged a march. Later in the evening, clashes resumed and six people were arrested. Far-right figures, including Nick Tenconi (UKIP leader) and representatives of extremist groups, were present.

Late July: The protest movement spread to other towns—Diss (Norfolk), Canary Wharf (London), Leeds, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Bowthorpe, and Glasgow—where anti-migrant demonstrations and counter-protests took place. Some passed peacefully, others had arrests or minor disorder.

From late July through August, protests under the “Abolish Asylum System” banner spread across more than a dozen towns and cities: Bristol, Liverpool, Newcastle, Horley, Tamworth, Mold, Aberdeen, and others. In Bristol’s Castle Park, mounted police intervened amid scuffles and one arrest for assaulting an emergency worker. In Liverpool, around 11 arrests were made, with charges including affray and public disorder.

The High Court issued a temporary injunction on the Bell Hotel, stopping its use for asylum accommodation by 12 September—triggering further protests.

The Labour government, led by Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, quickly appealed the ruling—emphasising that hotels remain essential for managing asylum housing and warning of fragmented disruptions if the injunction stood.

On 2 days ago, the Court of Appeal overturned the injunction, allowing asylum seekers to remain housed at the Bell Hotel.

Simultaneously, the government unveiled broader policy plans to tighten family reunion criteria, overhaul appeals by incorporating panels of experts (rather than judges), and continue enforcement against smuggling—while reiterating the goal to phase out hotel use by 2029.

31 August, a protest in London’s Canary Wharf escalated: four people arrested, a police officer was punched, and pepper spray was deployed.

He is an agitator but seems to have something against the UK in particular the Labour Government.

Most of the foundations for the current crisis were laid by the 14 years of Conservative Rule, yet, a lot of the ire seems to be directed at the current Labour government, who have only really inherited the current system.

It's quite calculated.

He resigned in 2007.

The country is facing turmoil primarily due to Brexit.

People are being whipped into a frenzy to protest against asylum seekers, as if all the asylum seekers disappeared, that Karen's teeth will regrow and she will be able to get a job.

"A substantial protest involving roughly 1,500 people,"

This is a tiny number. Protests in UK have attracted upto 1 million. The Pro Palestine protests regularly see over 100k on a bad day in London.

Most of the UK, Europe and US are owned by Zionists/Israel. They are paying their donkeys like Robinson to spread further hate/divide to keep the news media/people occupied while they commit a genocide.

Sure there are people(young men) coming on boats but its worldwide. You dont see other numpties running around with flags over such a small issue.

Sadly there is a large minority of white working class people who are easily fooled. Most are miserable with their own lives and this gives them some sort of feeling of importance.

Most towns/cities have not and will not be seeing this, the mainstream are over stating this as always.

Same thing in Australia

Same thing in Australia

Have no idea of Australia but again its the same forces.

You live in the UK, its not the 50's and 60's, these nutters cannot walk into any major town or city and scare minorities. Like the EDL before, once they start violence they will get a good hiding and crawl back...

Its also an agenda to get Reform into power, they want Europe to be governed by the far right.

Sadly some of these clowns will attack some vulnerable people of colour, elderly women etc.

The English/British invaded much of the world, looted and pillaged, installed dictators etc, yet some of their uneducated fools think they are the victims lol

Pakistanis top List of asylum seekers in the UK

Pakistanis top the list of nationalities seeking political asylum in the United Kingdom, ARY News reported, citing a UK report.

As per the UK report, Pakistanis ranked at the highest position on the list of 175 countries whose nationals have sought asylum in Great Britain.

Afghans are second on the list, followed by Iranians in third position.

According to the report that appeared in the UK media, as many as 11,000 Pakistanis applied for political asylum in the previous year.

A large number of these asylum seekers arrived in the UK using visas.

Pakistani students and those coming to the UK on work visas subsequently applied for political asylum.

Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) decided to extend its flight operation in the United Kingdom (UK), following the resumption of services after a five-year hiatus.

According to a spokesman of the PIA, the PIA will operate one more additional flight to Manchester.

The spokesman apprised that starting from December 11, there will be a total of three weekly flights between Islamabad and Manchester.

The national carrier is also speeding up planning to run flights for the UK cities of London and Birmingham, the spokesman added.

The resumption of the Manchester flight on October 25, 2025, marked the first phase, with flights to London and Birmingham planned for the next phases.

The PIA spokesman informed the nation that the airline’s earnings have substantially increased after the opening of the European routes.

Earlier, adviser to the Prime Minister on Privatisation Muhammad Ali said on Tuesday that the privatisation process of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has entered its final stages and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Addressing a joint press conference alongside Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, Ali said the PIA privatisation process would be expedited in the coming days.

He added that work was also progressing on the privatisation of other state-owned enterprises (SOEs), including power distribution companies, where issues related to assets and pensions were being addressed.

According to sources, four consortia— Arif Habib Limited, Fauji Fertiliser Company, Airblue, and Lucky Group — have expressed interest in acquiring PIA.

These consortia have also requested the government to relax certain conditions in the bidding process.

Officials have clarified that PIA’s name will remain unchanged and that the national flag will continue to be displayed on its aircraft.

Meanwhile, PIA flight operations across the country came to a halt after aircraft engineers launched a protest against the management.

According to sources, the dispute between the national carrier’s management and the Society of Aircraft Engineers of Pakistan (SAEP) intensified, leading engineers to suspend the clearance of aircraft for departure.

The engineers announced they would not resume work until the attitude of the PIA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) improves, sources said. The protest has resulted in the grounding of several domestic and international flights.

The PIA CEO has reportedly directed the Chief HR Officer to take strict disciplinary action against protesting engineers. “Engineers responsible for flight disruptions must face consequences,” the CEO instructed, according to sources within the airline.

It’s done by Panjabis in Canada for years now yet Canada doesn’t crack on it even though the crime rate has increased due to those asylum seekers having said that Canada has half the population of UK , so can afford to be a bit stupid considering the size and resources.. UK has less room to manoeuvre.

These people who do it in UK aren't criminals(apart from fake asylum). They will find under the counter jobs and stuff to send money back home.

But they are living a dog's life and bringing up kids in bad conditions when their lives in Pakistan aren't too bad.

UK government should take a look at it's policy. Flipping put sanctions on country with such high volumes of asylum or eventuate it's diplomatic relations of some sorts. How can they simultaneously have good relations with Pakistan while accepting the country perspectives such high numbers of it's citizens?

The problem is their kids, I have seen such ghettos in Toronto Area, Vancouver as well , its kids who get into illegal stuff not the parents(except the papers), because the conditions are bad, the integration isn’t organic, children are leading dual life and parents are busy busting themselves to make money.
The above is for over the counter/cash jobs which are very tough and ripe for exploitation.

Legally UK can’t just ban one country, it would be wild, it has to deal with it along the lines of Denmark.
