Wahabism has spread the most hate in Pakistan. This i can share through my personal experience.
Deobandi and barelvi groups have had their differences, but it was not as if they would call each others mosque as haram, or label that you cant pray in each others mosque. Yes hate for shias has existed from deobandis, but it was always undergound, and never preached very freely.
Wahabismm was imported systematically into Pakistan. The isi chief hamid gul allowed its import. Badcially, the Saudia govt would spread wahabi influence by having wahabi madrassahs open up in every neighborhood of Pakistan. These madrsaash or houses would get direct funding. Now what these wahabi houses would send an invite to all women of the neighborhood, and would invite them to their house for a dars.
In pakistan, women dont have alot of social or fun activity, so these dars became a way of having somewhat social life. Ithese dars were like how embasseys have diplomatic dinners and parties. They would spread their wahab ideas, like how one should prey by keep on moving their index finger, how shias are bad, how any human who has gods name should use abdul at the start etc etc.
Wahabis had their own mosque. They considered it a sin to pray behind anyone else. Their qaris would openly promote jihad against india, and would help u get into a training camp in kashmir through their madrassah system if u wana take part in it.
On bakra eid they would ask for cow and goat hides, which they would openly say that they would sell it to buy weapons to use for jihad in kashmir.
Alot of hate and sectarianism has been spread by wahabis in pakistan. And one can only know this if you have lived or been part of the mohallah system of pakistan.
