So australia has a great tope order of warner, finch, smith. unfortunately fro them khawaja and marsh were doing good for them in the absence of smith and warner and had to be selected. But now in this world cup, the openers have been giving the team consistent starts, but the middle order can't use that to up the ante.
the middle order of khawaja, maxwell and stoinis have failed miserably. maxwell is more like afridi these days, hit and miss and stoinis looks like malik with the bat, completely useless. But what's worse for Australia is that they dropped Handscomb, the guy who was scoring freely and was keeping at a similar level as Carey.

I still can't believe that Langer doesn't see that Marsh doesn't have a power game. Marsh was a good t20 batsman, like 3-4 years ago. I think their middle order is what is going to cost australia the world cup, and unfortunately for them it was an easy problem to solve as they had the players to choose but chose the wrong one but Pakistan doesn't really have anyone to up the ante.

Thought its England who made the same mistake as Pakistan by choosing to field first!

No I think it is a good move. England need to learn how to chase if they are to win the World Cup. The target is perfect for them here .

And Australia hey again failing to capitalize on 173-2 in 29 overs. Khawaja is wasting the spot, playing decent innings but nothing match turning.

Stoinis and khawaja are making Australia weaket
