If they(selectors) remove them(players), then the chairman would remove the selectors.

And if the Chairman removes the selectors, then the government would remove the chairman.

Not the first time we have seen this, whether it's a chase or 1st innings where thh platform has been set and the middle or lower order fail to produce. We were in a chance of winning and now we have thrown it away. It's not like we have Kohli and Dhoni waiting in our wings

The Hafeez wicket was a direct result of Malik's weak batting and endless dot balls. Put so much pressure on the opposite end forcing him to play a hopeless shot.

Same thing Akmal did to Babar last game I believe.
 
Malik has single handedly stalled the chase after sharjeel has given them the start..
 
Malik is the greatest PR gimmick that has graced the face of Pakistan cricket..

Even bigger than Afridi.. because even in his decline played a match winning knock here or there
 
Now when boundaries are required they take singles , when singles were required he was playing dots.
 
Simple rule of thumb. You can't play Hafeez, malik and azhar in same team if you want to chase 250 plus.

And in all of this, the only ones suffering are those proud Pak fans who grew up watching stalwarts like Imran, Wasim and Waqar. Absolutely disgusts me!
 
We are 4 overs late on 200, we were 140 at 20, how could you take 14 overs to make 60 runs ?? That's criminal 🙄🙄🙄
 
Just look at the run rate - ridiculous.

From 7 runs an over they are now under 6 and have to go at nearly 10 an over.
 
You don't have to be kohli to find gaps especially when you are experienced andhave faced over 50 balls. Malik is very limited batsman relying on spinners and bad balls

I hate the way our chases fall flat like this every single time we're on course for a big target.

From Captain like Imran, to captain like Azhar
From Express like Shoaib to trundler like Sohail
 
Not a bad idea not to take Malik's catches and not running him out

Brother, come on, we're all cricket fans. The better and stronger every team gets, the better for world cricket. Nobody likes watching a team decline which was once very good in our lifetime. Same goes for the West Indies.
 
Umar Akmal looks such a shadow of the batsman he could have become.

The signs were so promising in 2009.

It's unbelievable actually how much he has regressed given the ability he had. I think he has a pea size brain, as harsh it sounds.

He is now just a wild leg side hack. I would rather have Afridi for that role.
 
I don't understand what these guys are doing? The RR is almost 10! It's just been creeping up because they have been playing horribly. They are playing as if they are trying to draw a test match. Maybe they don't realise it is a one day and think it's a test match and are playing for a draw
 
Even when Malik looked good , it was only against the spinners that he padded his stats in this series. Seriously we need a power hitter in our batting line up. We should include Shazaib Hassan. If sharjeel can be successful and with proper support Shahzaib can be devastating too..
 
Now is the time to get at least one boundary per over till next 5 overs. Then start slogging..

Akmal knows this is a lost match so let's not play a reckless shot and get out. Let's score a fifty and cement my place for future series.

What is akmal good for ? Can't play without taking risks , can t take singles can't hit boundaries.

Yup..I also want Pakistan and windies to get better. Cricket is nothing without these two giving better show. esp Pakistan

Please refer to the Shahid Afridi we need you thread that is on currently.. this is the only time he was able to hit fast bowlers
 
At least in the past we had a glimmer to chase such scores with power hitters like Afridi, Razzaq and Moin Khan.

Sadly now we don't even have that hope.
 
RR is at 10. Akmal strike rate is 55 and Maliks is 65. We haven't hit a boundary in ages.
