What's new

Australia v Pakistan | 4th ODI | Sydney | Jan 22, 2017 | Pakistan Innings

I just hope Sharjeel doesn't fall under pressure if he plays a couple of dots.

scoring 7 runs per over is not that hard, if you rotate the strike consistently and take singles and doubles

Pakistan will lose Sharjeel before the 12th over and then you'll see how hard it is. They can't find gaps to save their lives.

o Hafeez has finally been moved to the middle order? Good move, considering he is much better player of spin than he is of the seaming new ball!

Cannot afford these dot balls after hitting a boundary off the first ball

The Golden boy has the same Pakistani disease of not finding the gaps !!

YOU SEE! That stop in the field just saved Aus 2 runs. We're not only garbage at catching but also ground fielding.

Placing almost finished from PAK batting. I was watching high lights of our boys hitting almost 450 in boundaries in NZ - mostly on crispy pushes in gaps without much foot-work; here Babar is driving well with feet, but straight to fielder.

I think, placement comes from top hand, which doesn't develop much from those low slow wickets.

Good over for us - need to bat at a RR of closer to 8 so that it will be easier in the middle overs.

I hope we win the match but not qualify to the WC 2019

cuz

I wan't pakistan to play the qualifiers and win some matches

Babar shouldn't block too many. Sharjeels form is heavily reliant on his partner unfortunately. Babar needs to understand that because I know they'll bat a lot together.

Sharjeel is the second most "timid" player in Pakistan lineup after Shafiq ofcourse, that meek and self-effacing look on his face coupled with reprehensible countenance doesn't help the team at all, seems like he's in a shell incapable to get out of it, doesn't look confident at crease no matter how many deliveries he hit out of the park, not to mention his lethargic attitude and extremely poor fitness which makes him even more susceptible. Rubbish player with 0 long term utility!

Babar needs to bat deep, the others should look to score quickly.

Relaaaaxxxx. What do you expect? He's still new onto the scene, not even guaranteed of his place in the team. Facing three 150 KPH bowlers isn't exactly cake.

MMHS the result would've been different if this hadn't happened to the brave boy

23.4 Junaid Khan to Smith, 1 run, dropped. Full and angled wide outside off, he chops at it and it flies to Sharjeel at knee height at backward point, and he's put in a lazy one hand out at this and put it down.

43.6 Junaid Khan to Head, 2 runs, Dropped, Sharjeel is the culprit again. What are you doing Pakistan? Are you trying to out-Pakistan yourselves? Possibly a slower ball, full on middle and leg, Head miscues it in the air. Sharjeel lazily runs to his right from long-on. The ball pops in and pops out. The Pakistan fans in the stands can't believe it. Regulation catch

45.5 Junaid Khan to Head, 2 runs, Head is floored. Wide full ball outside off, reaches out and slices it away to short third man. Hasan Ali fires it miles over the head of Rizwan. Wild, wild throw. Horror fielding. Mickey Arthur can't watch this horror show. He covers up his face in his hands

48.3 Junaid Khan to Maxwell, 2 runs, attempts a yorker outside off, comes out as a full-toss, which is punched to mid-off where Azhar fumbles now

Sharjeel showing his class. Please go big

Aussies have worked out some weakness in his pulling - so they are trying leg trap. Nothing wrong in that - every batsman goes through these phases - he'll work on that, next they teams will find another hole - batting is a game like covering holes - the more you cover, one day there will be hardly any.

Problem for PAK players is that, after AUS tour, SK will go to Basit Ali for his correction; who'll tell him that you are not ........ enough to play pull shot ..........

Would Sharjeel have done that if there were a slip? I can't tell if it was intentional or not.

I think Pakistan will give this a good push.

All depends on how Pakistan finish in the last 10 overs.

Glad to see we are keeping up with the asking rate!

You spent too much time on something that everyone has seen - rather focus on what I wrote there regarding his "Bowling".

Babar should have had at least 6-7 more runs by now if he rotated the strike a bit better. Still, so far so good.

Best place for Sharjeel to be is on the non strikers end when Head bowls his first couple of overs.

Listening to Chehra mera tha by Vital Signs, and following the match on cricinfo commentary, best way to not jinx the team... so far so good
