Best players of spin on right now. Worst plays of pace. Should make most of these overs.

From this situation, India will definitely win but teams like SA, England and even NZ would run Australia close. Anything less than 320 from here on would be a massive disappointment.
Damn... that's the game. He was batting so beautifully
Sharjeel did his job, Warner has been getting out for cheap runs all through the series..
However the difference is Warner has Smith coming at 1 down, who carries on at the other end..
And we have Babar Azam
Now Mamoon will come say Sharjeel has never helped Pakistan win a match.
What else can the man do, 74 off 47 with wickets falling around him. Great batting
we need a type of XI where Sharjeel kind of guy is at one end and a strike rotator at the other
Sarfaraz is one. And malik is another. We need to import a strike rotator , cant be found in Pakistan.

Maybe he can score a hundred, or a 150?
Once again, match awareness was lacking. He had 17 off the last over, there was no need of taking on a fielder like Warner. In addition, he was tired after 47 deliveries because he ran quite hard.
That is why don't expect him to win matches for Pakistan. He seems like another nearly man and we have a lot of them. Needs to improve his shot selection, match awareness and fitness, which are too much to ask for it seems.
That does not mean that he should not be in the team as some folks are suggesting. It's just that keep your expectations low and don't overrate him. I don't think he is going to get any better with time, he is what he is.
He saved us from embarrassment and scored 150 odd against Ireland.
He's the best we have and we have to support him. He's only been in the team for a little while, give him some time

Not boasting here, but I do get the feeling that Indian team from the current position of the Pak team would have definitely had a chance of winning. Not saying they would have definitely won, but they would have definitely had a chance.

That is it the point where we disagree. I don't think he is going to get better with time, neither in terms of fitness/attitude or shot selection, which makes him a frustrating player in my book because he is clearly talented.
Our batting approach in ODIs while chasing big totals has been good lately, but we simply cannot bat like this when we are batting first.
Had we won the toss on this pitch, we would be 100/3 after 20 overs and not 130/3.

Hasn't he improved since he was first introduced into the team? You don't lose weight overnight and you don't gain match awareness without actually playing. He needs more time
Just knock it around for 5-6 more overs. Then one of them can have a real go.Just need to keep rotating the strike. And if you get a bad ball, hit it for four. If you don't, then so be it. Just keeping taking singles.
He was overweight in 2013 and he is overweight in 2017. You don't lose weight overnight but can certainly lose it in 4 years.
Had darksher above had his way we'd be full of more ''techniques'' like Shafiq, Azhar in our team.

He was in and out the team. He's a permanent member now and working toward losing his weight.
I genuinely don't get who you would replace Sharjeel with

If he gets out now, Akmal will not last.Malik has to get going - take 4-5 RPO will not cut it unfortunately.
Only person who could bring us close in the end overs is Akmal

None right now, but why does that mean that he cannot be criticized for his shortcomings?
And - you don't have to be in the national team team to work on your fitness. As a professional cricketer, you are obliged to do so.
I never said you can't criticize him but if you don't have a better option then give the man a chance.

When chasing 350 - you need a boundary off every over tbh.
