Funnily, Mitchell Johnson averages 36.50 with the bat in this series which is higher than Hayden, Symonds, Hussey, and McKenize (till now).

Wow I never thought I would say this but Amla is one of the best batsmen to watch in the world at the moment.

If i am NOT mistaken M Morkel didn't open the bowling in the entire series instead he was used as an opening batsman...

quite funny

I was dumbstruck when I found out that he was sent out to open the batting.

Maybe they wanted to keep their structure together. Better to lose Morkel early than a genuine batsman maybe.

Amla opens in ODI cricket so I don't think opening was such a huge issue for him and AB has also opened in the past.

Who knows? Saffers are pretty leaderless without Smith. He is big presence.

So 314 to win tomorrow, 8 wickets in hand.

A win is actually possible still but I highly doubt it without Smith being able to play. If S.A can make it through the first session I think we could have a draw though. A few quick wickets and it could be over quickly. The saffers look drained and unmotivated.

If Jean-Paul Duminy is playing, then it's quite possible to chase the target. He is brilliant in term of chasing.

So SA will have to wait one more series to capture no.1 spot.

The way the Aussies have collapsed in this series under the slightest pressure from the Proteas i wont be surprised if the Proteas chase the target tomorrow. Dont expect to much from this Aussie bowling attack, they really disappoint you when you expect them to wrap things up.

There is still something left on the plate for the Saffer's, it's the #1 spot in the ICC Test rankings. They need to give their everything tomorrow to win it.

A sporting declaration by Punter. I think the S.A should ***** their postion at lunch and Tea on day 5 and go for the win. They have won the series and have nothing to lose.

I hope Aussie selectors finally see sense and dump Haydunce!

He himself needs to step down gracefully like Damien Martyn did. No player would like to finish their career at the hands of the selectors. He have played enough, enjoyed extraordinary team success and have been a remarkable opener of his time. Time to call it quits !!

Good day's play in prospect tomorrow, all 4 results possible. Just need McKenzie to come out of neutral, and SA to play steady till tea, around 3 an over and keep wkts in hand.
