Last time Rohit played Aussies in ODIs, he blasted 200+ with 16 sixes. He has the bragging rights.

Mate, South Africa are the world champions. India are just the World Cup holders.

It's not the same. Even Pakistan and Sri Lanka have won the World Cup, but they've never been the world champions. Ever.

we bought chamions trophy also just lost 2 matches in last 3 icc tournaments and n.o 1 odi team if not allowed to give it back to aussies then i dnt knw who else shud be

Last I checked, SA had never won a WC in their history. They may win it in a few months time, but for now, India deserve the respect which comes with winning the WC.

Besides, they do bully as good as any other attack when it comes to world tournaments.

In English football's 2013-14 season, Arsenal won the FA Cup and Manchester City won the league.

Manchester City are the champions. Arsenal are just the holders of the Cup.

No different in cricket.

South Africa holds the Mace because they are the champions, miles clear at the top of the ICC Test Championship.

India get the respect they deserve as winners of a Cup competition which they hosted with home advantage.

They won the Cup, like Arsenal. South Africa are the champions, like Manchester City.

Must be from way back, 'best of three' finals one if I am correct. I can see why they count this as an achievement. Australia were undisputed kings of ODI cricket then, not to forget that away wins are rare for India. Every single one leaves a long lasting mark.

The football World Champions are Germany, sure. ODI's equate to futsal, whose last World Cup was won by Brazil.

That doesn't mean that Brazil can call themselves world champions of football any more than India can call themselves world champions of cricket.

They are just the holders of a Cup in a lower form of the game.

Some people obviously hold the World Cup as the most important.

Not sure why if you don't think it's as important as Test cricket, it makes your opinion any more valid.

1) World Cup champions = INDIA
2) CT Champions = INDIA
3) Best W/L since 2011 WC = INDIA

But for some like [MENTION=132916]Junaids[/MENTION], we are a crap team..... but SA are the real world champions .... (God knows what have they won :D)
