Intresting that warner is 1st player to debut for Aussies with out playing a 1st class match domestically. Hope for some more fireworks in 2nd T20

I didnt watch the match in the morning but the highlights are coming on now on Sky Sports 3 so I'll be watching that Warner innings now!

Warner also has an IPL contract so i guess his potential boom boom hitting has been spotted before!

Tait was RAPID, really exciting watching him bowl, clocked 152kph first ball, and 156kph later on.

His slowest ball in his first two overs was, hold your breath, 146kph.

I missed Australia's innings but saw the runchase. SA was out of it from the beginning, when they lost 3 wickets in the first three overs. Good comeback from Duminy but he could never win it highhandedly.

Second match 3 days from today?

He literally scared the **** out of Kallis and Devilliers.

SA has been struggling in the shorter versions. Smith's absence only made things worse. Kallis opening in a T20? . I thought chanderpaul opening in T20 was bad.

Upload it ALL !

Will do! I've got Warner's ball by ball innings and Tait's ferocious first over so far which I need to upload- I've actually sacrificed some valuable revision time to watch this!

Need to get some work done but hopefully will get some time later this evening to upload some of the footage.

Did you see the way he mutilated AB? Very exciting stuff; watching him was a treat and a reminder of what the likes of Akhtar, Sohail Khan and Mohammad Talha will be able to do on quick Aussie pitches!

Tait should play test matches , not T20's ..he will need a good captain to do well though !

I hope that you won't do another 100 off 45 this time. :P

the sad thing is... australia played their weakest team against india and now willl have a strong lineup against pakistan (as always)

The Aussie bowling when they had Warne, Mcgrath, Gillespie and Co was the biggest problem for Pakistan. In comparison we should be able to deal with the likes of Lee, Johnson, Siddle, Clarke, Tait, Hilfenhaus in a better manner. The Aussie's still lack a spinner.

Our batters should be able to play more freely. Our bowling will have to rise to the occasion though especially if we have all our main bowlers available.

if tait makes it back in to the test team then that could be one of the fastest test attacks to be seen, tait, johnson, siddle, lee, all 150k+ bowlers

There is a difference. Tait is on average quicker than all of those guys combined and bowls a lot more aggressively. Johnson and Siddle on the other hand bowl the occasional heavy bowl but average 140-143 km/hr and one delivery in the 148-150 km/hr region. Lee is on the decline now.

Therefore having Tait in the team will change the dynamics of the attack. Besides Tait actually late swings the new ball, he bowls bouncers as well and can reverse swing the ball. The Aussie's are blundering by not backing him for the test side but to be honest i dont think Ponting is the right captain for him. Ponting is too impatient and panicks very quickly.

Have to say Tait bowled well for 4 overs, but can he sustain that for an ODI or Test match?

The death bowling of the Aussies was impressive today though!

the main problem for tait is his fragile body, if he stays fit and firing for when australia gos.africa then he'l b one of the first names on the squad, but taits biggest problem is can he back up is performance day after day without breaking down? the answer is no he clearly cant :imran
