What is unique about Federer is that he has always had an element of serve and volleying in his play - when he debuted he used to S and V, even later on he tended to use it but not as much as later years. He combines this with the best forehand of all time, a great serve and a great backhand, sure other players try to be offensive but for them it means bashing the ball, for Federer that means using strategy, spin, slice, angles, different pace and wit to beat his opponent, also his ability to hit winners from out of nowhere is unparalleled.
The only player he has struggled with irrespective of age is Nadal; Djokovic only started to regularly beat Federer after he had lost a couple of steps and was no longer able in position to hit his forehand properly.
Should appreciate all tennis players and not try to discredit other players.
