WI bowling has been quite potent at home in the past 5-6 years. Roach and Holder have averaged around 22 and Gabriel has averaged around 25 in that period. Don't think it's fair to consider that attack to be any inferior to the Top 6 in Home conditions. It's the WI batting which has cost them a lot of Test victories in this period.

Averages of the fab 4 in WI:

Smith: 141.50
Root: 62.30
Williamson: 51.33
Kohli: 35.61

Overall Smith is obviously head and shoulders above the rest. In Tests there was never a Fab 4, it was always Smith and then the rest until his decline started post Ashes 2019.

That wouldn't have suited the narrative of OP.
He is trying hard to portrait Kohli in positive these days.

Smith is clearly superior Test player in Fab 4 .
Rest all are same .

Not sure why Pakistan is included arbitrarily and Sri Lanka excluded. Sri Lanka won a series in South Africa. West Indies are very good at home also. This is top tier cherry picking lol

^ Pakistan is a superior test team to Sri Lanka as we saw recently in the India series where Jadeja, Iyer and Pant made a mockery of this SL attack. I don't think India will make a mockery of Pakistan like they did with Sri Lanka.

Also, it is not just bowling attack but scoreboard pressure so you have to consider the overall quality of opposition. Hence, top 6 countries made more sense.

I dont like Kohli as much as some of the other Indian players. This is just a comparison thread of Fab Four just to analyse where they stand at the moment and not to potrait Kohli or anyone in any sort of mood. Personally, I enjoy watching Root bat the most among Fab Four.

Add Babar's stats in here because there is a Fab 5 now and Babar is probably first or second best atm...

Pakistan hasn't done anything impressive either, and would get demolished by India on Indian pitches. Pakistan can barely score draws on slow wickets.

West Indies has had a better bowling lineup at home than Pakistan since 2017. Roach/Holder have been exceptional for much longer than Afridi and Hasan Ali. As I said, it's just cherry picking.
