No, I haven’t been “brainwashed by Hindutva.”
You’re just someone who reads random headlines online sitting in uk and probably have never travelled outside uk but suddenly thinks you understand an entire country, its history, and its people.
This situation has been building for over 30 years you probably didn’t even know who Khamenei was until the iran - Israel conflict blew up last year.
The reality is that the majority of Iranians do not want Khamenei, but that also doesn’t mean they support Israel. Most Iranians don’t believe in the taqleed system, don’t accept the idea that Khamenei is “chosen by Allah,” and they’re still waiting for the Mahdi. Many openly say Khamenei cannot replace the Mahdi, and that’s exactly why they reject him and oppose the ijtihad/taqleed structure forced onto them.
They simply want to live freely and practice their religion without the government controlling it through state-imposed policies. They don’t want Khamenei, they don’t want Israel, and they don’t want the Shah. What they want is genuine democracy.
But what I don’t understand is how you, sitting in the UK with no ethnic or religious connection to Iranians, think you know what’s best for the Iranian people and backing Khamenei like no tomorrow.
