This should have been Shan Masood’s first series as captain and instead we’re sticking with an over the hill player.

Misbah seems to leave behind Azhar in whichever format he retires from. I wouldn’t be surprised if he recommends Azhar for coach and selector after his tenure is over...

Azhar has had as bad a 2-year run as any international batsmen in the last 20 years.

Now he's approaching 40, and hasn't played any competitive cricket in almost 6 months. I am terrified of the horrific display we're about to witness from Azhar in England. This will be one for the record books

I think after england series if Pakistan dont draw and azhar dont get runs he should 100 present be sacked and dropped

I can already see the excuses now. ‘It was the first series back after a long time.’ ‘The boys were recovering from the quarantine’. ‘It was difficult being in isolation away from family for so long’. ‘This is a young team with players like Haider, Naseem’ etc etc etc.

The current management has shown a tendency to make excuses and get agitated when questioned on things like performance or selection.

They going to have enough time to get used to conditions and they going to play practise matches so should be no excuses.it isnt a young team you have azhar shafiq shan sarfraz yasir abbas they have more than enough experience!.

I reakon yasir will play even thou I prefer fahim if its swinging or shadab if thier ain't going to be spin.if it does spin then yasir

Sarfraz will be picked over Rizwan eventually
Alam or imam ul haq will be an interesting pick

All rounder will be Shadab or bhatti
But Misbah could go for yasir

Remember how this coward tried to knock off the last 10 runs of that Abu Dhabi chase vs New Zealand in singles ?

Williamson pushed his men back and Azhar had no clue what to do. He cost us that series with one of the most pathetic and gutless displays I've seen from a senior batsman.

Inzamam used to shield the tail and knock off chases like that without trying.

He should infact relinquish captaincy of CP too.
