Enough of the conspiracy theories, he was holding a spot, the PCB didn't let him go early on because it would have cost them more to pay out his severance and the remainder of his contract and Mahmood shamelessly stuck around knowing he wasn't wanted.

In any case his contribution as head coach was nil bata zero, Shan Masood was calling the likes of Sarfaraz Ahmed for tips, suggestions as he wasn't getting much input from the head coach.

Two good signings in Kirsten and Gillespie and they vanished like there is no tomorrow. Under these two Azhar would have had an interesting learning and coaching career which any one from his league would be mouth watering to sign up...

Pak with less number of Tests being played every year , they should have continued with Azhar Mahmood and rope in adhoc batting coaches..

Shan given a PCB role and then called off , if he could bring in some ECB level 4 coach from England for red ball cricket that would be great..

Younis khan as head coach and Umar gul as bowling coach would be good for test cricket.
Get saeed ajmal or abdur rehman as spin bowling coach for home tests only
