Than Babar currently yeah, Babar has too many soft runs right now, his performance in last 4 years against top teams have been mediocre in major tournaments or Tests.
Also Rahul is bang average and nothing special.

Babar is a better ODI batter but KL is now a no.6 WK batter for India which is an awful comparison to Babar who is no.3 specialist batter.
In Tests, KL has more match winning knocks and Babar' stats stats are inflated by Ramiz Raja's highways.
Both are below average in T20s but KL has better shot making ability so he wins there too.
Yes, stats can be fake if not conextualized. Is this news to you? Or are you some bot that just looks at statsguru and nothign else?

Rahul is a choker. Babar has been number 1 ranked ODI batter for so long. He may be in a bad run now but a King will always be King. Rahul is the court jester. He looked positively terrified of Shaheen the last few times they played. Meek and gutless.

@mominsaigol has shown time and again that Rahul is a mediocre player. He averages in 30s in test cricket. Not worthy to tie Rizwan's shoelaces, let alone Babar's.

Rahul don’t enjoy playing against C Sides of decent teams and against mighty Bangladesh and nepal, Has more sena hundreds in tests which babar can only dream. Earning ranking by playing against associate nation and C grade teams of decent nation when your whole life you didn’t play a single decent inning tells how selfish statpadder he was. A number of time associates nation cricket cricketers earned high ranking like Ryan tendoschet or someone also I can’t recall name from Ireland , NoBody Gives damn about It just like now nobody cares who was babar azam forgotten Pr Ballon.

Lokesh rahul is greater test player, but too many superstars in india white ball team didnt let him shine while babar was lone star in pak team, but going by ipl rahul is still better modern day batter than babar.

For babar to become a choker he actually needs to play a good innings and then botch it lol.
In wc final Rahul scored 60+ before throwing it away.
Given babar's current form he will probably score 1 to 10 runs and then depart
