Speaking to the PCB:

"You got a good mix of experienced and young players; Musa and Hasnain have raw pace, and they will learn a lot having Waqar Bhai as bowling coach and 'Inzi' as coach (meant Misbah!)"

"They got bright futures and looking ahead to the future hopefully down the line they will play some Test cricket; You have a good balance of Test and white-ball cricketers"

On Iftikhar Ahmed : "Look he came out and backed himself which is brave and that is what you have to do; Even when you are losing wickets you come out and back your ability; If that's the way he plays with freedom then so be it; You should know your role in the team"

"Babar's white ball cricket is outstanding; Captaincy is always one thing that is very difficult when you are trying to keep on performing and also rallying the troops behind you but the experience he brings is quality, so for him its about keep on scoring runs"

"Its hard when youngsters come and play on these hard and fast wickets, everyone wants to try and hit the ball out of the park, but the grounds are so big so you need to hit the gaps; if you hit the gaps then you will get runs

The ball-tampering scandal has humbled him. He seems to be a different person on and off the field. Hard to believe he was once the biggest bully in the game.

With age people mature. A 20 year old brat might turn out to be the nicest person at 30. Most people mature will age.

People around the world have realized how good Babar is over the last 12 months. Now Babar will have to keep proving himself, especially in Tests.

@Mods, maybe we can also have one Babar Azam Mega discussion thread. It will be nice.

The ashes also humbled him :Broad

Amazing how much Babar is respected around the world.

In fact his game also looks humble. Since his comeback we haven't seen his trademark innings where he goes bang from the very first ball.

Babar Azam is now the face of Pakistan Cricket. Other players should be ashamed of themselves the way they played in the t20 series

Warner has always been a nice guy, he just used to be hyper-competitive and has learned that cricket is only a game.

It’s why I object to Umar Akmal being discarded forever. People can mature. Very few never mature.
