The Islamabad police arrested four youths for laughing at the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader, Attaullah Tarar.

According to details, in a surprising move, the Islamabad police have kept four youths in lockup for more than 24 hours without registering any case against them on the charge that they had laughed at the PML-N leader.

Four youths identified as Zain, Taimur, Salman and Qadeer have been put behind bars in the Kohsar police station ‘on the order of Tarar’.

The Kohsar police station SHO quoting Tarar said the youths allegedly stared and laughed at him, and called him a thief at a restaurant.

However, the SHO assured the media persons that there was nothing special and that the detainees would be released soon.

This is not the first incident of such nature as a family heckled Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal at a fast food restaurant in July this year, but later visited his hometown of Narowal and apologised for their actions.

A video of the incident, which took place at McDonald’s branch near Bhera Interchange, had gone viral over social media. The hecklers assailed the minister unabated even as he tried to talk to them.

The PML-N leader had already announced that he would not seek criminal charges against the “PTI supporters” who railed at him and hurled abuses at him, calling him “chor” (thief).

You used the perfect word for this haram khor.

In a country with a functioning justice system, low class janwars like him would be hanged after being jailed for the damage they caused to the country by supporting a family of criminals and traitors and the unimaginable amounts of financial and societal corruption they have caused.

People who support these bhagairats do not realize the damage such thieves cause to the country and its reputation.

The more they do these things the more they get exposed and no one will let them or their supporters ever forget. The ugly munafiq may have used his power to get the lads arrested but has lost the battle of hearts and minds. There are lots of annoying Nooras but this munafiq and the cowardly Rana are the 2 worst. IA they will see pain

We are a jolly people, do they wanna ban our smiles now?

Highly obnoxious and intimidating campaign?? With 184 followers?

What kind of campaign a person can do with 100-200 followers on twitter?

A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Thursday ordered the immediate release of Lieutenant General (retd) Amjad Shoaib after he was arrested on allegations of inciting rebellion within institutions.

In its decision today, the court nullified the three-day physical remand of Gen Shoaib, saying that "there was no corroborated evidence to prove the charges for remand".

Lt Gen (retd) Shoaib was arrested following an Islamabad magistrate registering a case against him on charges of inciting the public against institutions and the government.

According to police sources, Shoaib, a defence analyst, was arrested from his residence after a first information report (FIR) was filed at the Ramna police station by Magistrate Owais Khan.

The complaint was lodged under sections 153A and 505 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which pertain to promoting enmity between various factions and statements inciting public mischief, respectively.

The FIR maintained that in an interview with a private news channel, Shoaib made comments that “incited government officials and opposition from performing their government and legal duties”.
