Afghanistan cant chase 10 RPO type runs in the last 5 overs.. so I am confident enough that even Gurbaz cant bring them home
 
BD once used to have so many left arm spinners playing together Mohd Rafiq, Abdul Razzaq then Saqib ul Hasan..now they have only one Nasum..I believe part time left armers are going to be affective in these slow pitches against right handers.
 
Afhganistan build their unit like teams like scotland, ireland, netherlands. Lot of useful lower order hitters.
 
Nabi, Rashid,Gurbaz- 3 key wickets for Bangladesh. Get these 3 cheaply before it gets too close and game is in the bag.

Afghanistan doesn't even try to reverse sweep. Hence Left arm spinners are allowed to bowl the way they want.

I feel Afghanistan has a gun batting line up for ODIs not fit for T20s and a gun bowling line up for T20s not fit for other formats.
 
Some things about Afghanistan make no sense.

- Why is Rashid slotted to come in after Karim Janat when he is one of their best power-hitters?
- Gulbadin in the playing XI and batting at 4
- Continually selecting Ghazanfar over Mujeeb eventhough he has one wicket in four matches
 
Rashid and Nabi the key here. Rest don’t have the temperament. However Bangladesh side can choke too so wouldn’t underestimate their capacity. However if I had to pick right now- Bangladesh firm favorite
 
Afghans need a couple of left handers in that lineup. Can't just be Sediqullah.
 
If Afghanistan really wanted to win this match they wouldn't have said Gulbadin before Nabi

Tanvir Islam is a left arm spinner did well in Lanka recently, took a 5fer too. Dont know why he has been left out. Maybe more suited to ODI’s. Idk
 
Part-timer Saif is bowling.

They have to bowl 2 more overs of part-time spin. They should finish it off.
 
Bangladeshis in UAE showing a lot of support to BD. Excellent crowds. Cricket needs Bangladesh, BD has expats everywhere too.
 
Bangladesh don’t have an X factor bowler except maybe Mustafizur (for Afghan level he is X factor) so couple of clean hits from Nabi and Rashid can keep them in the game.
 
Afghanistan conceded a lot of edged fours misfielded fours. Atleast 20 to 25 extras they could have avoide. It all comes back to bite them.

Not a surprise. Even if Nepal was playing this Asia cup, this stadium would be even more packed to the rafters.

Too bad after his surgery he went downhill. Prior to that, was an amazing bowler
 
Nabi needs to retire. No number of hair transplants are going to make him any younger.

Hasn't performed with the bat in 3 years.

You obviously have a type but I also think Bevan, Hussey, Martyn, Chanderpaul, Vvs Laxman, Rizwan, Younis Khan were gun cricketers and not all of them were flashy 👍

After this over, no more part-time.
 
By the way this match is going, RR might Stabilize enough for BD and this can become very very close for these 3 in group b if Afg pulls of a win Vs SL

Mahedi Hasan Miraz should've been in the squad if Bangladesh were looking for an all rounder in the XI

Lol. He was supposed to retire earlier this year but then took it back.

Officially 40 but likely even more. Afghans need to move on from him
